You can tell how unpopular voyage events are by the standings. I barely cleared thresholds and finished with a rank of 1350. Some players may have ranked inside the top 1500 without even clearing thresholds, which is a significantly different story compared to faction, galaxy, and skirmish events!

I ranked just outside1500 finishing with about 320k VP. I would have tried for a higher finish however the timing plus the inability to get another fast forward token despite pulling around 60 or so out of hundreds of my backlog of shuttle boosts prevented me from doing so. Not looking forward to another all weekend voyage event anytime soon.

It's all relative, I really enjoy these Voyage events, once you have it sussed it's easy to play while working, not a tap, tap, tap, tap event which is pure repetitive. To win the high 7 day+ big crit% chains you will have had to choose your 12 crew wisely. Then when battling the 5. Challenges appear before the Crit% battle you againg have to pick the best 5 crew to carryover skills for the 6th and final battle.
If you have chosen 12 poor crew you will struggle with the Crit% battles at the higher multiplier levels.
Similar to Faction events high scores are achievable by playing every 90min or less which can be done while working, galaxy and skirmish both need more tap, tap, tap, tapping over the 4 days which restricts many players

The biggest pain is the first 2 hours of each new voyage, when the mandatory babysitting is every 15/30 minutes. There are 8 encounters within the first 2 hours! I'd rather they just make it like actual voyages, with encounters only being every 2 hours without the initial buildup, which would make this even more similar to faction events. They would need to do some rebalancing with the event point accumulation, but I think that would alleviate some of the frustration.
Galaxy and skirmish events may require more time, but the engagement is flexible and so mindless it can be done while doing other things.

Exactly! I’ll play some on Thursday-Friday, finish up on Saturday most of the time and depending on my interest maybe play a little bit on Sunday. By Monday I’m pretty much done with the event. This time I was forced to work on it each day and still not make threshold. I have strong enough crew to pass all of the challenges but the thing I didn’t do that I’ll probably need to do next time is use voyage tokens to extend the voyages to get higher points further in. Ugh. I had been running low around 10 hours then retrieving the voyage.

I wound up having to use a few of the tokens that skip to the next encounter. I used more than I should have, since I had to use them from the 1-hour point of a voyage through to the 8 or 10 hour encounter, to clear thresholds. I think I used 5 or 6 in total.
I didn’t extend voyages and mine all got past 12 hours. Each one got me about 75k and I didn’t fiddle with anything overnight. Babysitting for the 4 days netted 300k, with the last assisted voyage getting the final 50k. It’s just constant un-fun babysitting, with no residual benefit like farming.

Just a note of caution regarding those Fast Forwards. The first 2 Voyage events, I used quite a few of them.
The problem is, those drop as rarely as Shuttle 2X Reward Multipliers. For a few months now, I've been doing 4 rounds of the Thursday cadet missions to load up on Shuttle Boost 10-pulls (not the basic, the 'standard' ones). But despite doing 24 of those 10-pulls every week, I usually end up with one (or none) of the Fast-Forwards. So if you burn through a lot of them like I did, building them back up will be either extremely expensive, or take an extremely long time.

I actually got four today opening 20 Packs for a different Event type. Last week, I got three from a lot more saved up Packs. I'm sure it's probably confirmation bias, but it seems like they drop better outside of the Event type that uses them.

Maybe a phase thing? But, could be an error.
My voyage did seem to auto recall, not sure if I pressed it, or if the game did it.
