At least you can skip the voyage part entirely and clear thresholds during the specialist event quickly, for a minimal investment of around 2,000 chrons. Both of those event types are terrible and require so much babysitting.

I've got better things to spend 2k chrons on . Will do minimum on both, and if that isn't enough to clear thresholds, so be it. If we don't want to see these events as much in the future, we need to vote with our pocketbooks, or with our lack of involvement. If they see a lot of people dropping 2,000 chronitons on Specialist events, they may deem them a success and keep adding them to the schedule. I'd like to see them go the way of Expedition events: gone with the wind, leaving nothing behind but a bad taste in our mouths.
I agree, I’m not planning to use chronitons to speed up specialist missions, if that means I miss out on some rewards, oh well. I’ll likely get at least all the available copies of the purple card that week which is the minimum I’m after.
