Comic versions of Discovery characters

With TAS characters and the Mirror Broken comic versions of TNG, DB has made it clear that they're ready to include character versions from the Star Trek "expanded universe".
So, DB, why not use it to flesh out Discovery crew more? As we have just received the new of a prequel Discovery comic, I think that would be a very good occasion to deliver younger versions of Stamets, Culber, Tilly and Straal. This would be a very good occasion to deliver uncommon or rare versions of the Discovery characters, so that all players will be able to get them (yes, I'm looking at you, Legendary Cadet Tilly).
Obviously, the release of such characters will be seen as an affront by three different sort of players (the Discovery haters, the canon purists, and the homophobes). None of which, I think, should be of concern to DB.

And some of us hate Discovery but are ok with their inclusion as long as it is not to the exclusion of the other series. (That was actually my worry that this place would become 24/7 nothing but Discovery.)

100% agree! It's all about the balance - and while we have a good number of Discovery crews, especially for a series in its infancy, I'd like to see more.
