Battlestation Abilities

Since the beginning, I have been noting the battlestation abilities of each crew who comes to my ship. I have a list of 200, all but 65 of whom are no longer in active duty. Several times I have noticed that crew abilities seem to have changed. I suppose it is possible I entered them wrong. My question is: Do the battlestation abilities themselves change (aside from the add-on with equipment) as the crew levels or gets more stars?

    The base accuracy/damage/evasion number does scale up with star level, but the ability itself stays the same.

    Some characters' battlestation abilities have been modified by DB, though. Mirror K'Ehleyr is one example that comes to mind.
