Suggestion for a new merged crew

There have been quite a few great suggestions for new "merged" crew (a la The Duras Sisters and Tuvix), but this is one that just occurred to me. Was looking at 2* Captain Kirk today and thought it might be a fun idea to use him to make a new merged crew member. Two versions of 2* Kirk to merge into one 3* Android Kirk.
Obviously, this would make him a fairly easy-to-get 3* crew, but he wouldn't have to have killer stats or anything, and it'd open up the fun of making a new merged crew for newer F2P players who don't get a lot of rare crew otherwise.

Another idea: remember the episode of Enterprise where Archer, Sato, and another began to transform into an ancient alien? That could be incorporated.
