How I expect the Dev meeting to go tomorrow

I really feel bad for Shan in these situations. She gets the brunt of the complaints from the players here, and then has to sum it all up to present it to the Devs. I mean just imagine the meeting with the Devs tomorrow:
Devs- So Shan, how happy was everyone with that free Picard we sent out?
Shan- Uh, well, guys, actually the forums kinda blew up with rage filled posts. Many long time players and or big spenders are vowing to never spend another dime on STT.
Devs- Great! So no major issues then, glad we made an excellent choice...
Shan- No guys, people are really mad. I've spent hours editing angry posts, merging duplicate threads on this, and simply trying to convince everyone we are listening and going to do them right!
Devs- Good job. So on to the next topic then, everyone was happy with the planned downtime today and early shuttle recall?
Shan- Which folder did I save that resume in...

No problem! I always try to bring a little humor into other peoples day when it's been **tsk tsk**.
Sounds about right.

I wouldn't try them in a drinking contest, and I'm from Canada! We don't do anything without drinking beer!
I don't drink much alcohol as I have almost no alcohol tolerance. I don't get drunk - I just go straight to sleep.
Our meetings don't tend to be quite so dismissive or painful.

My wife's like that, one drink and ready for a nap so she doesn't bother. On the upside I always have a DD!
Also glad then that your meeting's aren't like my example.
Devs: "yeah"
Black Pebble: "Don't worry guys I'll use my considerable charm to make people laugh again, and we might have to think about things a bit more next time. Perhaps at the next monthly meeting?"
Everyone: "Sure"
Shan "I need some coffee. Black. Let's get back to it folks we got an event to rerun next weekend"

You forgot the 3-minute wall sits. I am not kidding,
Otherwise it's pretty close to target.
Stay tuned

Best time for a workout imo. I'd prefer to smoke, but they're a bit suss on that nowadays so exercise is the next best thing to keep you occupied while meetings are in progress

Otherwise pretty close?!? And you say your meetings aren't dismissive?!? That sounds pretty fracking dismissive to me!
Sounds like a good album cover from the 80s (the wall sit that is)

Pardon me, Black Pebble, but you must be joking. This "response" completely ignores the core issue at hand and the source of all of our anger. DB BROKE ITS WORD TO US and blatantly betrayed our trust...DB's actions equate to consumer fraud, and has (at least in my case) forever destroyed the underlying faith between merchant and consumer.
Numerous players (in fact, entire fleets) have made this abundantly clear in this and other threads, yet this damage caused by DB to our trust and relationship is not acknowledged in any way. Please realize that choosing to fully ignore DB's action and utter refusal to mend the trust that's been broken is insanely insulting.
Help me understand, why do you believe we broke our word to you, and when do you feel this happened?

I don't know how it could be spelled out any more plainly in the forums than it already has been.
@Black Pebble
I think what he's trying to say is that many players either paid the $24.99 or 50,000 Honor to fully fuse the Mirror Picard because the player base has been led to believe that our only way to immortalize the Mirror Picard is through either: Double Your Crew ($24.99), 50,000 Honor (Citation) or the extreme slight possibility of obtaining a 5th copy through the Mega Event crew pack at the end of the mega event. One of these options (the Honor) can be obtained without spending real money, although it does require a lot of invested time. I guess you could say the Dilithium for packs can be free if you save all of the Dilithium from the Immortalized crew achievements, but that is still a very very small chance. Not to mention that I, and I'm sure there are others in my position, would NEVER spend Dilithium on these Mega Event Packs since I have every single Super Rare in the pack fully fused by the time it is available. That is a separate and unrelated issue though, so I will stay on track.
I have seem players argue that giving away the Mirror Picard for free after the fact appears to be fraud. I personally don't feel this was fraud, since that would require a direct intent to defraud the player base, such as DB going into the Mega Event knowing full well they intend to give away a free Mirror Picard at the end of the event, but staying quiet to get players to spend money. I want to reiterate though, I do not feel this was the case. I don't believe there was some "Dr. Evil" style discussion resulting in the obvious intent to defraud.
I do feel that the free Mirror Picard caused a LOT of anger and resentment due to the fact that the players who spent real money or honor feel as though they wasted said money or honor. The players that benefited the most from the free Mirror Picard were those that did not spend money or honor on the 5th star. Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the upset players, but I greatly appreciate the effort being put into making it right. I won't speak for others, but DB agreeing to swap the Mirror Picard for Honor is a good solution for me personally (although I am into hour 31 of waiting for this swap).
I do want to take a moment to thank you for engaging with us on the forums. Sometimes, just knowing that someone is listening and responding to us goes a LONG way towards easing the tensions. We just want to be heard. Thank you!
Consistency in how tickets are handled is my biggest gripe about CS as it stands, I know Glen did some good work resolving this but there is still some distance to travel.
What would really help the STT community is a CS charter so that the player-base know what is expected of CS and how they are expected to handle tickets in a fair and consistent way.

How will they know to try again ?
I though you were going to let us know how it went.. (the meeting)
"Can't promise anything but will raise these issues tomorrow after the update and get back to you with what we come up with"
(Not a direct quote, May reflect how poor my memory is and have taken you to literally).
Let’s be fair to Black Pebble here. DB rarely says anything specific so that they can’t be shown to have broken their word. This has its downsides, such as not inspiring faith in your customer base.
However, I can point to several specific examples from the last couple of weeks.
1. Indicating that the game will go offline for maintenance without actually taking the game offline for maintenance.
2. Shortening the Christmas event by a day in the middle of the event.
I’m sure there are other examples that can be provided.
