Gifted Picard and 50k Honor

I’ve heard multiple reports of people getting to keep their free picard and also getting 50k honor. Seems like that is hardly fair regardless of whether it was extra or not. At this point I don’t think there can be fair compensation. However the inconsistencies really make me have to fight the urge to file a ticket. I feel like I’m missing out.

    Aye, the CS were responding in different ways, including the one you've mentioned, before higher-ups settled on a unified response. It's now an exchange offer. If you FFed Mirror Picard prior to the compo mail being sent out, you can swap it for the equivalent 50k honour instead.

    So some get the equivalent of a free gold citation on top of the free Picard. As someone who can't afford to buy golds to add stars, I have to rely on honor for citations or getting lucky with a gold dropping from the portal.

    I'd be less inclined to complain about this unfairness if i could rely on seeing pack offers as often as the starry skies shows up. So far, the weekly offers i've seen are schematics x10, 15 packs + dil x2 and 10 packs @$10 x 4.

    What gives with the uneven compensation AND uneven rotation of weekly offers? In a game that is dependent on RNG for so much, when the company changes the benefits from player to player, it's called rigged when in Vegas.

    Yeah, and I'm sure those "free Picards" were essentially 550 honors..... I'm not gonna worry about their extra 550 when most of us just want our 50000 back!

    Except, those of us who needed the Crew Slots did not hang onto an extra USELESS 1* of a crew member we had IMMORTALIZED................

    This. They can give me the 50K Honour, or I can DISPUTE the credit card charge, that was done over state lines electronically, under {at least} questionable pretenses.......

    I'm torn on this, because I can completely understand someone wanting their money back. I just asked myself, "knowing you have spent the $24.99 on a bunch of double your crew offers would you be willing to spend the $24.99 knowing that double your crew was actually a Legendary Citation (or 50k honor) instead of that crew member?" For me, the answer is yes. Now that I think about it, i wonder if people would be more willing to spend the $24.99 on Double Your Crew offers if it rewarded you with a Legendary Citation rather than another copy of the character???? If this was done, could they safely remove the 72 hour cooldown? Hmmmmmmm "LIGHT BULB!" @Black Pebble @Shan

    Except, I did NOT the 50K Honour that many other people are, even ones who did not spend the $25........

    I see the 0-50 level loot and trainers as irrelevant now given the abundance of both chronos and trainers from voyages. Id like them to overhaul the DYC offer to either be cheaper or get rid of the items and replace them with chronos since if you have already FE the crew, all the extra items are wasted. I personally don't DYC unless I know that I can add extra stars to them.

    In the case of Picard I did this right at the start of the event, I have also DYC certain crew from event packs when I didn't have them just to save the training tedium and knowing Id add another star to them by finishing top 1000.

    A 2/5* crew is just not worth $25 where as a 3/5* or better might be. Id ceartainly take the DYC offers alot more regulary if they were $10 or $20 cheaper, or offered 2 extra copies for the same cost. As always though they are targeting the whales and not the little fishes.

    Those are all good point and ideas, but I doubt we will ever see a reduction in price for the DYC. I love the idea of an overhaul though, to make it more worth it.

    Fair point! I've personally never even heard of CS agreeing to monetary refunds, but that would be awesome. Instead, they make us jump through hoops for virtual goods as compensation. It can be very frustrating.

    That's the thing, sometimes it is frustrating and sometimes it isn't (wait notwithstanding). There's a lot of RNG involved apparently.

    That's the thing, sometimes it is frustrating and sometimes it isn't (wait notwithstanding). There's a lot of RNG involved apparently.

    I am hesitant to file a support ticket because I've seen a concerning number of people report that they’re having a star and/or levels taken off of their immortalized Mirror Picard...the only way I could be grumpier about this situation is if the crew I worked so hard to complete is nerfed in the process of trying to make up for the original problem.

    This is exactly why I chose to use a month's worth of honor (50k) for a citation instead of paying $25 DYC. As things turned out, I guess I'm lucky as I only have to wait for CS to respond to my ticket, instead of hoping that DB would refund actual money.

    As one of the DYC users, I sent in a ticket requesting the 50k honor. If DB wanted to go above and beyond in their customer service to those who spent their hard earned cash, DB would offer a free DYC of the customer's choice from the Mirror event, or any other card they owned at the time of the blunder. I call this going above and beyond, and I fully recognize that this will be considered unfair by some due to the additional set of equipment/trainers provided by a free DYC offer.

    No man, you totally deserve to get your refund. I was only pointing out that because compsation was all over the place to begin with it is now impossible for it to be fair for everyone. Which is ironic because I’ve had justified compensation withheld in the past for the sake of “fairness...”

    The biggest problem I have is that they seem to be willing to give people 50K of Honour. IF they can "prove" that they ended up with Six Picards. My issue with that is I had him IMMORTALIZED before Phase Two even began, so why would I ever think that I needed to keep a redundant 1* of him, at Level One, that was tying up a Crew Slot? Even though Crew Slots are never at a premium.
