Extra 5*s

I know I am going to get some hate for this, but what do you do with extra 5*s you receive after immortalizing? I just received my 7th Guinan from the gauntlet. I have a 5/5 and now a 2/5. I hate to just airlock, but I'm not sure what I want to do with the 2/5. She's already good for specific voyages. If duplicates can be used in the gauntlet, then the extra could be great for the Guinan trait set and 1 or 2 other trait sets. If I get her up to 4/5, then her base becomes useful.

For reference, Guinan is my best Dip and 3rd best Med. She was my first immortalized 5*.

  • I would say congrats on getting her so many times....

Personally I dith any double that I have immortalized but I could see holding on the her as a 2/5 if she is useful for your crew. So I guess it just depends on your needs and if you like having two of the same crew.

I would totally keep her. Sounds like you have great luck in the gauntlet so you could get more. I have two immortalized Mirror Troi’s. There are many times both of them are on a shuttle and many more times they are both on a voyage together.

With most Legendaries, I would say keep her. But with Guinan, another copy really doesn't do much good at all. There will be very, very few times that you'd use two of her in a Gauntlet (unless the rest of your roster is really sub-standard). I doubt you'd really use more than one copy of her on a Voyage, either. And it's unlikely she'd ever be bonus crew for an event.

I have dupe copies of a few Legendaries, but they are ones who have a lot more utility, and better base stats. So I'd advise (as I have to at least one of my fleetmates who had the same situation) that airlocking her is, in my opinion, the best choice... unfortunately.

Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.

  • When I was a raw beginner, I used to have two copies of captain Picard my best card as that worked out on shuttles etc. if u have space, keep her

I disagree. On a dip/med voyage, you would definitely use both

That is if you can get more stars for her, which sounds like you don’t have trouble doing

I've kept my extra Guinans for voyage value. It's payed off well, especially for B-team voyages that get sent during Faction events. The dup isn't good enough for shuttles but still great on a voyage.

I recently pulled the 6th Guinan, she will be kept in the hope that more fuses happen. I am not going to level her unless I get more, and it is only when the guantlet reward switches that I will make the call on her status as an ongoing concern.

But I have over 30 project purples and 5 project blues littering crew quarters that would like be airlocked first.

I would keep her, after all 550 honor just isn't that much; a days worth of fleet honour or a single voyage.

Shes still good for voyages and the gauntlet so if you have space keep her

  • Guinan kicks **tsk tsk** in Voyages, that could also be considered

I've groomed a twin Guinan (now 3/5) and a twin Locutus (2/5) and they are awesome to have for voyages, and occasionally gauntlet too. Those who say to just airlock her are throwing away a terrific asset and giving you silly advice. Both my Guinans regularly make my voyages, with here decent MED #s making here especially valuable.

I hear it now too. Specifically the same tone that he uses at the end of Encounter at Farpoint when he tries to convince Picard to destroy the space jellyfish. And now, replaying that scene in my head, I also imagine Picard answering him with the "NOOOOO" from First Contact, accompanied by phaser-rifle-swinging and little-ship-breaking...

And when I first read the comment, I thought [BL] Q was saying "Imperial" and I was absolutely confused.
