Is Star Trek Timelines on steam a windows only game? I installed steam on my Linux box to play the game, but the steam store shows that it's Windows only.

  • Ok, thanks. steam uninstalled and looking for an Android emulator now.
  • i think there is also a browser based version that's probably crossplatform.

I actually tried that before installing Steam, but the login button is missing. I opened a ticket but I figure it's going to be a while before they get to me.
  • @are_dub did an android emulator that would run timelines? I am asking because I am looking for an android emulator to run timelines on Ubuntu. I have tried Anbox with libhoudini and I can hear Q but the graphics do not work.

I use MEmu on a Windows machine, but have heard good things about Andro VM and Genymotion on Linux (not Timelines specific, just that it's a good emulator in general).

There's never any log in button on Facebook.

Thanks for suggestions @[7TW] UnkieB. If one of those works I will add that fact to this thread.

I've never been able to get the Facebook version to work. When I try that link I get this bizarre message:

    Star Trek

Click "Sign in with DBID" below and you'll be taken to another page. On this page, either sign in with an existing DBID account for that environment, or create a new one. Note, if this account is NOT an admin account and you're trying to access admin content, you'll need to have it made one for this environment; speak with Platform, or check with the CS Tools slack channel. You'll be able to tell if it isn't an admin account by the errors showing up instead of a proper web page.

I ended up going with Play on Linux to run the windows version of Steam.

I am trying to setup Android x86 to dual-boot with Ubuntu. I tried @[7TW] UnkieB 's suggestion
Andro VM and Genymotion on Linux (not Timelines specific, just that it's a good emulator in general).
but I could not find an Kitkat image for Andro VM , then I noticed that softpedia says it should run the on x86 architecture so I decided to try Android x86 on virtualbox but I think it needs more memory than VirtualBox gives it access to as a VM so I am trying to Install it properly.

I can now confirm it does run on android x86
  • Update on Timelines on Linux, it seems to run fine through Proton, at least on Ubuntu.

I got them to link my FB account to my regular account, and I can play my regular account through Facebook (or Android or Steam, etc.). So there is hope for you.
