How much are your super rares worth?

DavideBooksDavideBooks ✭✭✭✭✭
I have spent much time and chronitons this event. I really want Scotty, so I figured I would push it. I was sitting about rank 850 (I didn't write it down) and I decided sided to cash in my super rares. In the morning I will reevaluate if I need to craft more items.

I had 377 super rares. I cashed in 374 of them which gave me 119,350 VP and dropped me to rank 159. I won't stay there, but I figure I'm fairly safe below 1000.

You could be saying WTF in the morning. Nearly everyone thinks it’s cute to turn them in during the last few minutes. Lots of people below you will surge

I expect that. But I don't want to wait in case of a server failure. (Some here are still angry over mirror Bev.) I just want to stay below 1000. I'm at 168 right now and have the resources to craft many more items should it be necessary.

I would just check a few hours before it ends. You don’t want to burn those resources if you don’t have to. If you do, you can just do enough to maintain. The server failure was the Mirror Troi event. I always cash in my super rares as I get them in case something like that happens. I finished 3rd that event. Many people assumed I would have finished lower if not for the crash. They are probably correct, however knowing that so many players are clogging up the server by mass cashing in, I knew I was doing the smart thing by continuously cashing them in. That last few minute surge is a server overload waiting to happen.

I dropped about 400 in the last galaxy I tried on. But I've never been below 1000.

Congrats on third place. That is totally amazing. That was the Christmas one, if I remember.

Thanks man. It was the last Mirror event in the mega. I had a similar showing in the Lorca event. The server didn’t fail there and I wound up 8th. I’m guessing that is around where I would have been in the Troi event but fortune was my female dog that day

  • Excuse me for being ignorant of what you speak. I feel I should know but I don't.

What do you mean by "cash in my super rares"?

The bonus purple reward you potentially win after crafting an item. Many people save them until the last minute to get an apparent boost at the end and pass a bunch of people. I save mine until the second half which provides a slight advantage. Others cash them in while they go. There was a huge debate here over them a couple months ago. I just wanted to be certain of getting a Scotty, so I did way more than I needed. I figured if I didn't, then people would pass me with super rares. I got what I wanted by a bunch. It cost me about 7000 chronitons, too, but I was leveling crew at the same time. Stoner is FFFE. Admiral Cornwell is 2F and all but 2 items fully equipped. My Andorians are also doing well.

  • Oh thanks. Do the bonus rewards carry over between events or just for the current event?

  • just rhe current.
  • unless the event repeats
