Ive had that happen a few times too with different builds. if you select the 3 star bundle and build it and try again it should work for you.
  • I'll try that now. Thanks.

  • Unfortunately no success.

  • Okay, I managed to get it to work, but only by going down the build nest to the basic database/sensor combo and building every item one by one, all the way back up. Quick Build would just not work at any point. Weird bug.

AFAIK this bug existed since the introduction of quick build. often the counter would show a yellow number, but one or more sub-items that need to be used in different parts of the build tree (for example, 3* Single Pot Whiskey needs 2* Single Pot Whiskey, but also 2* Poetry which needs another 2* Single Pot Whiskey) are buildable only once, so your main item actually ISN'T buildable. Their algorithm fails to detect that.

The AI apparently also just can't count very well, period. There have been numerous other times when an item is showing it's not ready to build yet, but if I go a few levels in, and build up from that point (without farming anything new), suddenly I'm able to build the main item.

Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.

Well, that's actually caused by yet ANOTHER game bug, where in certain (many!) cases you need FEWER items than what the recipe actually calls for, if you build manually. I'll not post any details, to prevent being the target of the hatred of all the people who know about this - last time I reported this bug in detail here in the forum (must be at least half a year ago I think), people were pretty p***ed about it, since everybody was bug-using. but since DB oviously doesn't care (otherwise they would have fixed it), it doesn't really matter I guess ^^

The only time I ever witnessed DB reacting IMMEDIATELY to anything said in the forum was when they were actively losing money: It was the bug where some Legendary characters were sold for 1500 DIL instead of 15k in the faction stores. Like, half an hour after somebody reported this in the forum, the bug was gone. Go figure.

I don't recall that particular instance (perhaps it predates me), but they also reacted pretty quickly to the DYC bug that was being exploited by numerous people.

I think you're correct, though, in that they likely won't do anything about the issue I mentioned above, as it's just not very high on their list, if it's indeed on there at all. There are so many other things that need fixing when equipping crew members, I've come to expect running into one issue or another several times a day.
