Cryostasis Vault - We Immortalized 'em, we should be able to exchange them freely!

I am level 50+. I have immortalized over 100 crew. That is a lot Dilithium, Chrons and time. They are permanent crew, and as such, need the ability to be switched out as often and as many as desired with no penalty such as paying merits. LLAP.

There would be no point to the vault then, you may as well have it so that when you immortalise them you gain a crew slot instead.
There is another reason it should cost merits et al and it involves a particular type of event.

    EDIT
I do perhaps agree merits may not be the best resource to have activate/revive them again, but there are times in the game when no resource is best to use for it. Perhaps there should be a limited ticket system per day perhaps the first 2 are free, then merits, then dilithium would be a fair compromise.

I would pay Honor to reactivate them, double the amount of what they would yield when dismissing them. Also, Honor would be a good currency (additional to Merits, Credits and Dilithium) to pay for uncommon or rare faction shop items.

I'm not sure honor would be a good alternative given what people have posted here on the forums of being in "honor debt" based on citations required to FF Legendaries or Super Rares - it would therefore seem that for most people honor should only be saved up and used solely for citations.

  • I don't see why we can't have an active/inactive roster with no penalty for swapping crew in and out. They are our crew that we worked hard on (and in many cases spent money on). Why punish us for not having enough room for them all?

Tell that to the 100s of hours and many contributors compiling a who not to airlock checklist, or top crew for gauntlet, shuttles, voyages etc - restricting who you can have at any one time provides a challenge and thought strategy.

The fact you put time and/or money into these crew means for that privilege you do not loose them and for a nominal fee, which you can earn in a daily reward, you can therefore reactivate them any time you want to.

Furthermore it obliterates DBs hold on crew slots for dilithium purchases after you have immortalised the majority or every character then all those slots become worthless.

While I like the idea of costless revivals, I disagree that 100+ immortalizations requires "lots of Dilithium".

I've been able to get 100+ without any dilithium as a VIP0.

That said, I think the current solution of 100 merits for the first pull of the day, 150 merits for every pull thereafter is a reasonable compromise. Charging dilithium for crew that we had already acquired and already immortalized seemed excessively penny pinching.

  • No, honor for reactivating a crew? What...

Merits are also a bit too much. Or they let it free or simply put a daily limit for the number of crew you can put in service at once.

That merit sink is not really necessary.
