Assignment recommendation: USS Sutherland
Greetings captain!
It’s Commander Branch again, the chief personnel officer at Starbase 63. As you may recall, we’re near a recurrent temporal anomaly, one of the more stable in this universe, and as a result we have a steady supply of displaced personnel, many of them well-suited to jobs in this universe. My job is to orient newly arrived refugees and find work for those willing and able to lend a hand to Starfleet at this difficult time.
There are, however, some special assignments which Starfleet Command has asked me to forward to you and some of the other captains running point during this temporal crisis. In each case I’ve compiled a dossier of potential candidates, and am looking for your recommendation for this difficult assignment.
Most recently, Captain Annorax of the Krenim Imperium was assigned as a science specialist to the USS Feynman.
The fourth of these assignments is as the new commander of the USS Sutherland. The Sutherland faces varied service for the foreseeable future, as it has been tasked with relief work throughout Sector 001, which has been thrown into semi-organized chaos by the temporal crisis.
Our candidates:
- 8472 Valerie Archer, formerly an operative of species 8472 masquerading as a Starfleet Commander. She took a keen interest in humanoid culture to better maintain her cover. Her primary skill is command, with secondary abilities in security and diplomacy.
- Commodore Matt Decker, formerly the captain of the USS Constellation. One of the Federation’s most decorated officers, he is perhaps best known for his efforts against the alien planet killer. His primary skill is command, with secondary abilities in engineering and diplomacy.
- EV Suit Picard, formerly the captain of the USS Enterprise-E. One of Starfleet’s most accomplished commanders, he crossed over to our timeline after foiling a Borg attempt to signal for reinforcements on the outer hull of his vessel. His primary skill is command, with secondary abilities in security and science.
- Lieutenant Rhys, formerly the tactical officer of the USS Discovery. His primary skill is command, with secondary abilities in security and diplomacy.
- Captain A.G. Robinson, formerly the presumptive captain of the Columbia NX-02. He was the first human to break the Warp 2 barrier and a candidate to command the Enterprise NX-01. His primary skill is command, with secondary abilities in engineering and security.
- Lt. Commander Sisko, formerly the first officer of the USS Saratoga. A legendary combat veteran, he crossed over to our timeline after serving at the Battle of Wolf 359. His primary skill is command, with secondary abilities in security and engineering.

Yeah it was close and AG was my second choice. Either way I think we should get both of them as Legendary characters!
I don't know about him being Honour Hall though. Commodore Decker isn't a particularly "honourable" person.

I dunno, we saw him pretty broken. In the end though...
It could be argued that it was an honourable sacrifice, but it could also be argued that his motivations were more about personal revenge than an honourable "ramming speed" death.
I'm certain he was an honourable person before the tragedy, but that's not likely the version we'd get.

Fair nuff!
I was completely taking the mickey out of DB and the Caretaker fiasco/scandal/joyous day for 23 people.
If I ran DB, he'd be a 3*. I think both Gilgo Beach Sisko and Stripey Shirt Janeway should be fun 1* additions to the honour hall at some point down the road.
At this point I think people will take any Archer they can get :P
