How to block irritating polls

Or, how to block members who are continually posting irritating and offensive material that I'm not interested in showing up when browsing this forum.

I'm on Android and can't find the block button.

Thanks!

For what it's worth, I took that on Firefox for Android.
  • Shouldn't that read "How to block irritating trolls?" ;)

What polls have been put up?
Admiral of the Haus of GaghGagh, Starbase level 94, we are not accepting members at this time.
Captain of the voyage vessels: Queen of Bashir, Landsknecht, and Sunspear, the first luxury starship cruiseliners.
Amenities include wifi, fully-functioning holodecks, a full-service bar, 3 party decks, a Trill spa, and a business centre.
Fun fact: The ships are propelled by bouncy castle technology.

Unfortunately, the "block" feature here needs work. If the person you have blocked/ignored creates a thread, that thread will still show up, as will their first post in that thread (subsequent posts by that blocked person will be hidden, however).

I really wish there was a way to hide the threads an ignored person starts, and to just hide threads in general (from people who you haven't ignored but just don't want to see that particular thread any more).

Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.

Hottest Hero, Sexiest Heroine. A thin attempt at hiding the fact that looks are more important than behaviour.

That **tsk tsk**. I must simply hope they get bored of their puerile polls and go find somewhere else to carry out their obsession with looks over substance.

  • He may have shot his wad though. It won't be long before he's posted all 12 of those six polls

Just send all these polls to the strange new worlds sub forum
  • It's sad how easily triggered you are.

    HAHA Ubermind.

  • Yeah. And you both are triggered into being offensive as soon as someone raises a complaint. Not very civilized and not very pleasant. Now push off before I make a serious complaint.

He does bring up an interesting point, though not the one he intended. Feeding trolls is probably a bad thing as it gives them acknowledgement. I'll have to ponder that one.

Since one of my favorite definitions is: "One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument" you could ponder that the entire intent is to cause the 'trigger'. If so that would mean the intent of the post was to troll and thus violate the TOS of the forums.

Aww muffin... considering your confused sexual metaphor above maybe someone should file a complaint against you for being a misandrist.

It's a game boys and girls. A poorly written, poorly designed game leeching of Star Trek franchise. I know there's not a lot to discuss, beyond complaining, as a result of that but yay! Now our tiny little community seems to be bickering with each other more and more each day.

    *sigh*
