I'm at rank 150 and have 564000 VP.

I got it surprisingly from just 1250 sorrytons and about 1500 voyage chronos. It also helped that my Cornwall was FFFE when we started, so she gets 95% on average for success on generating SRs for crafting. I've generated close to 1200SRs thus far thanks to her.
