Timers and Notification freezing

This has happened to me on a number of occasions now. Timers freeze so I no longer know how long I have left to wait to start a new cadet mission or how long my Supply Kit has remaining - that is annoying. But even more serious is when I am told I still have one free pack to claim when I don't and am charged dilithium for some Shuttle Boosts! I have noticed this occasionally but I'm sure there are times when I've not noticed.
This is actually robbery! If I walked into a shop and was told to take a free chocolate bar, only to find out I'd been charged on my credit card statement, I'd contact the card company and possibly the authorities. But what if I didn't notice?!
Once again DB needs to sort out the basics of this game before putting on the bells and whistles.
