Edit: This change will not apply to Faction Events involving only 1 faction.

Event Name: The Honor of Andoria

Important We are making a change to Faction Events, starting with this event there will only be 6 unique missions instead of the usual 10. This will also apply to Hybrid Events with a Faction Event. Edit: This change will not apply to Faction Events involving only 1 faction. This change is being made as an effort to reduce server lag during events. We will evaluate the effects and make changes as necessary. Please note this will not affect existing/re-run events that already have more than 6 unique missions.

This needs say "We will make changes to anything in contradiction to what we have already said, without notice and not tell anyone in advance. In all likelihood however it is because we didn't realise."

It used to be that the factions were highlighted in-game prior to the event. This should be reinstated.

When I first saw that my brain assumed that single faction events were only going to have 12 missions. I don't know why I thought that.

For reference, the latest official stance is this:

““For events involving faction missions, the number of unique missions will depend on the nature of the event”

That’s a massive, very dismissive and inconsiderate approach to solve what is really just a small technical problem that they should solve, rather than flip around and blame on their customers, IMO.

That's bad for us. This means that since they cannot properly communicate we suffer.

For me that is fine but they have to provide the information in advance.

And the information has to be accurate, which was supposedly the entire point of the announcements being pushed closer to the start of each event.

And if it's not accurate, it is better to acknowledge the problem and fix it (where possible) or compensate (where not possible) than chalk everything up to miscommunication and push it off onto a clearly overburdened Customer Support division.

Less shuttles in an event, less participation and money in general from me. That simple.

No one complained when the Garak re-run had three factions with ten missions each. We had no advanced knowledge that was going to happen either but somehow that was ok with everyone

It was stated clearly reruns would not change to the new mission format at least they kept their end of the bargain on that one.

I could be wrong, but I believe that was edited in after the event started and we all noticed 10 missions.

I know it was added in later, because I did not know to plan for that, and neither did my fleetmates, many of whom hang out on the forums.

We do take your feedback into consideration and we make many changes based on your feedback.

This is forum post is just a continuation of another closed thread. As Shan pointed out, threads of this type have a tendency to derail very quickly. Constructive criticism is helpful. Serial bashing is not.

We are closing this thread as well.
