Maybe during a given weekend, there could be two events- players choose which one they want to play in (or maybe by fleet?). Or maybe they could event play in both if they really want to whale. Upside:
-there are a lot more historical events now, and every brand new event means that much more time before a repeat. This doubles the event schedule and makes reruns more timely.
-likewise, there are historical event crew that people would like to FF, but other players wouldn't be excited about having already FFed them during the original event. Paired events means something for everyone.
-there has been a lot of griping about the ranked rewards not changing to accommodate the growing player base. This automatically doubles the ranked rewards available without changing anything about the original events.
