I admired David Ogden Stiers and will continue to cherish his work on MASH as well as several Woody Allen movies. However, the role of Timicin was a particularly touching portrayal. The writing for that episode was superb and putting David opposite Majel really allowed her to show a serious side that was welcome. That episode created a third dimension for her character that was somewhat lacking previously. The acting of those two was award-winning caliber for that episode, in my opinion.
