Promoted to Officer mail glitch

So one of my Fleet members got an in game email telling him he had been promoted to officer but the promotion neither came from me, the Admiral of the Fleet, nor did it come from an actual officer in the Fleet.



The other strange thing about this email is the fact it has a timer on it. Pretty sure there shouldn't be a timer on these types of emails.

I asked the member to confirm the email to see what the result would be and, as expected, nothing happened.

I suspect this is some kind of glitch connected to squadrons.

Vendray, who received the email, was a part of American Pope's squad for the last Event. We however rotate members in squads for every Faction Event so that squad was disbanded a few days ago which must have caused this glitch.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this. Not a major glitch of course but figured I'd put it out there nonetheless.

Did they actually get promoted to Squadron Leader instead? There's a bug that sends this mail in that instance instead of one worded correctly.
