One issue with the game is that you'll need way more 1* Novels and Basic Translation Algorithim's than 1* Subprocessors and Communicators. I'd throw them into the replicator except I have way more other pressing things that need to be thrown into the replicator.
Databases and Communicators? Maybe. Subprocessors? That's exactly how things should be. I remember zeroing Databases and Communicators in galaxies. Common Subprocessors only grow and grow and grow and grow and grow. Only components I have more are Basic Alcohol, Common Optronics, Basic Interlink, Basic Spices, Basic/Common Incense, Basic Microconnectors, Basic Polymer and Basic Emitters which suffer from exactly same problem - they aren't that much useful in comparison to how much they drop on good farming missions for other stuff.
