With all the sorts/filters in the crew roster section, it shouldn't be that hard to add a simple sort/filter option in the equipment section as well. I mean beyond the existing (not-really-useful) "Ship schematics - Trainers - Equipment - .etc.."
The most important one, I would think, would be when using the replicator ... I want to use those items I have excess amounts of .. so being able to sort by quantity would be the single most useful addition, IMHO .
This isn't the first time this has been suggested, however, I'm hoping one of these days, DB actually takes this request seriously ..
