I leveled the new Kes to level 51 when she should have been capped / maxed at 50.

This is easy to reproduce. I've seen it dozens of times. All you have to do is get a bunch of trainers going and while they're still moving the crew up the levels, hit the trainer button again. I'll see if I can dig up some screenshots I took of the first couple of times this happened to me.

This happens at least once a week for me. It will go away when you are ready to level from 50 to 60 and has no effect on skills.

yep, it goes away if you just close the window and reopen it actually.

Once a week? Try every time I level anyone. Though, it doesn't matter to me anymore because I know exactly how many trainers to use at each gear rank to get a crew from 1 to 100.
