Cryostasis revival with dilithium?

Can somebody tell me why now I need dilithium for reviving characters?

Yesterday, after those 5 free crew slots I revived 5 characters with merits, the usual way. Then I upgraded app on iphone (because I had to) and now I need dilithium?

If this is now the way to use cryostasis then freezing characters is useless.

    The first two revives per day are 150 merits, the third is 200 merits, after that it's dilithium (150 for #4, 250 after that) until it resets for the day.

    It will be cool, I can go on a freeze/unfreeze bender without any planning. I like it.
