Would love to see this mega, and in my spreadsheet I already planning for Dominion mega event by noting and choosing to hold onto Cardassians & Dominion crew over another for this eventuality.
I agree with red shirt cadet. Wormhole alien / prophet for recurring Mega 5*. They could choose Sisko's mother, since she doesn't and won't have a variant.
Also, the other recurring 5* Mega event crew have all been (arguably) cultural figures or leaders. A wormhole alien would be appropriate.

In Purgatory's Shadow Imprisoned Bashir would so need to be a part of this event.

Profit Sarah Sisko is definitely a good idea for the recurring 5* (forgot who first mentioned it, sorry).
I'd really be okay with any DS9 characters being added. More Bashirs, Daxes, Siskos, Garaks, Cardassians, Vorta and Jem'Hadar...we need more! :P
On that more general note, I always thought it was interesting that we had just the Resistance Shakaar and not Prime Minister. I guess sometimes the one off really is favored.

I like your idea Brunt! The Dominion War Mega Event is a solid idea and your character suggestions are also terrific. I especially like the mention of adding Legate Damar (with the ever present bottle of kanar) which is overdue IMHO. As is Jem'Hadar Omet'iklan.
But instead of 4* Magnificent Quark, I'd also rather see a 4* Resistance Cell Rom (from Season 7) with the two skills of Engineering & Diplomacy and each skill be given a reasonably significant value to make the character both useful and desirable to own....say Engineering [625 +(127–335)] & Diplomacy [385 +(92–257)].
