Faction transmissions for Credits

Is this new or something I just never got until now? I check all the faction stores daily and this is the first time I’ve noticed Faction Transmissions for Credits, and first time Ive seen them outside of left most slots in the Faction Store, it was in the right most.

Seen it a few times, cost is slightly prohibitive so I assume it's a bug

Last time I saw them for credits it was 3 for 10k, not 100k for 1. Don't know where my screenshot went, but I occasionally delete them if they're a couple months old, which also tells me it's very uncommon. Like the "random ship item" you'll occasionally get to drop from packs, smile and enjoy.

100k for one I wouldn't do. 100k for 8 I would likely do instead of merits.
