    Good, the issue is solved!

Now i'm hijacking this thread to talk about something REALLY important since you're already here and reading.

What fast food establishment has the best French Fries?

    Arbys. Duh.

Arby’s/Hardee’s curly fries are indeed excellent. But have you tried Wendy’s natural potato fries with sea salt? Other than the Cajun fries from Five Guys, Wendy’s may have the best non-curly fries.

Of course, the discussion of who has the best fries is moot because deep fried cheese curds from Culver’s are the best side dish item in a fast food joint. Or the curds from A&W, for those who don’t care as much for breading.

Never heard of Culver's. No A&Ws in Dixie that I know of.

Culver’s got its start in Wisconsin and now has locations in I think 31 states from Idaho to Florida to New Hampshire. If you ever get near one, I highly recommend them.

If y'all come to Dixie, try Bojangles fries. They are better than Arby's, trust me on this.

    Bojangles Bo'rounds are the best!

Jack in the box curly fries. Fight me.

If' I'm going to Jack in the Box I'm going for some deep fried Tacos.... Lol when I was in high school they had 33c Tacos... and three of us wheeled in an bought 100 in store. Watched one of our friends in the back about fall over.

For a sequel one of the guys who was on the first adventure went through the drive through on a different night and ordered 100 and started passing them out to people. :)

One of my friends worked at BK when we were in HS, so we went through the drive through when we knew she was working and ordered a "large fry with everything on it, hold the mayo!"

We have a bunch of them around me in Florida. There was just one location a few years ago and now there must be a dozen in the area. Love their cheese curds and Wisconsin cheese soup. Their burgers are pretty much the same as Steak and Shake.

For fries, I love the fries from Checkers (known as Rallys up north)

Edit: Made curious so I looked at Culvers near me

    1. Bojangles
    2. Chick-fil-a waffle fries
    3. Arby's curly fries w/cheese
    4. Any restaurant steak fries topped with cheese, ranch, and bacon. Yummy!😁

My favorite fries are the magical ones that you find at the bottom of the bag. It's like you think all of your fries are gone, and then, poof! Magical bag fries appear. My wife says that they are just fries that fell out of the carton, but she is a ginger and dead inside.

Agreed, those are always fun to find. "Oh, man, I'm out! Wait there's one more! Yes!"

What fast food establishment has the best French Fries?

That’s a loaded question. Do you mean straight fries (with maybe a little salt...no catsup), or fully loaded fries?

If the former...I have to agree with Jack in the Box curly fries.
If the latter, then it’s gotta be Harvey’s Burgers’ poutine.
  • Frank?Frank? ✭✭✭✭✭
See, Poutine i'm with you on. I have a soft spot in my heart for that Canadian delight. In fact, whenever I find myself in Toronto, I do two things:
    1) Celebrate and honor the Immortal Rob Ford wherever and however I can
    B) Go to Smokes Poutine over in Cabbagetown and pig out

    BUT

    BUT

Poutine is a different dish. It has fries as a base, yes. But the other ingredients radically change it.

So, I must disqualify Poutine as an acceptable answer. I am looking for the best brand of french fries from a fast food type establishment.
  • Portillo's Cheese Fries

has great Italian Beefs, Polish Sausage, Burgers

though I love it when we have Poutine bar at work, nothing like all you can eat Poutine.

good mention on the Culver's cheese curds, Wisconsin - the land of cheese and beer

Nearest Culver's to me is in Charlotte. Next time I head that direction, I'll keep it in mind.

Do yourself a favor and order a butter burger while you're there. 😋

Have you guys ever had Outback's cheese-fries? They might seriously by the best cheese-fries in the world. I've never tasted any other cheese-fries that even come close to Outback's.

Last time I wanted to eat at Outback, the wait for a table was over an hour. So while I agree that those fries rock, they do not qualify as “fast food” in my book.

P.S.: Popeyes’ fries are better than Bojangles’, as is their Cajun fried chicken and red beans & rice.

    P.P.S.: 🥕 > 🍟

I had McDonalds fries tonight. I will admit to that.

    It was DELIGHTFUL.
  • Best fries in the world at Vegan Rapide in Montréal. The most crispy-outside-gooey-in-the-middle, fresh homecut, made in some proper kind of oil, perfect on their own without anything fries of all the times.

There are several poutine dishes with various stuffs however, the greatest being the Orbit which has all kinds of vegan fake meats on it including grilled seitan, ground veggie burger stuff, grilled mushrooms, carmelized onions, mushroom gravy (I think?) and homemade something-based cheez chunks.

When I get the very meaty-non-meat burgers there sometimes the fries make their way into the burger sammich.

Even their coleslaw is good and usually I'm meh about coleslaw.

If anyone is in Montréal sometime and would like to go to the best fry-house of ever and don't hate me too much let me know.
