I thought this was 'fixed' when the forums were updated. Please consider introducing a Captcha so guest accounts can't be created by bots

  • Atleast under the old forums, I could click on the spammer's profile and hit ignore, and wouldn't have to see all the posts. Ignore doesn't seem to do anything to filter them out from the listings anymore.
  • The good news is, spammers don't bother with dying/under performing games.
    So... yay.
  • Are you not entertained?

  • The SPAM is annoying, but perhaps equally annoying is the need for people to post about the spam. It happened all the time on the old forums. I think everyone (including DB) can agree the SPAM is annoying, but posting about it doesn't stop the spammers and after the forums are cleaned up then this thread will remain... which can be just as annoying.

(And now I have added to it.)

A couple days ago, it worked for me.

Edit: Just checked. If I search for the ignored person, their post shows. If I browse to the post, their name shows, but the post doesn't. Hope that works for you.

    Agreed.

So I have made a modification that I hope will help but in addition to this, the best way to make the anti spam tool do its job is to flag those threads as spam.

I too wish it was no longer happening, believe me.

There’s nothing wrong with Chinese Spam, I think it’s better than the American version myself...yogorayznobz.jpeg

  • Worse, I think. In the old forum you could ignore, and it kept the spam under control. Here, I tried flagging as spam, and nothing happened. ... DB's site so their rules...
  • Support has been assimilated by unknown species. So happened to moderators. One more (the devs) and the assimilation will be complete.

You still have an ignore function, and I hope you didn't think that flagging as spam would automatically delete it. That would be problematic.

But ignore unfortunately does nothing in these new forums when the ignored user is the one who initiated the thread. It still shows up in the Recent Discussions section, which is the main page I go to every day when visiting the forums.

I'd really like an "ignore thread" option, actually. One that would hide it from view completely. I'd surely also use this for many threads that I just wasn't interested in, for whatever reason.

Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.
