Alternatives to CAB Tools / Big Book for Crew Ratings?

Hi everyone,

With both https://cabtools.app and https://bigbook.app seemingly down or no longer maintained, I was wondering:
Are there any active or updated alternatives for evaluating new crew stats and usefulness?

Those resources were incredibly helpful for planning crew pulls and event strategies, so I’d really appreciate any recommendations if something similar is out there.

    Datacore has started providing a data score for each crew. It’s not a complete replacement for the big book as far as written evaluations but I’ve found it useful.

    I miss the Big Book. But, DataCore gets used a lot. Fleet Boss Battles. Upcoming Crew. Comparing Quipment options when trying to decide "Is Crew A or Crew B a better choice to Immortalize?" That last one takes a little more work than if the Crew Info in-game showed Quipment for Crew we have not Immortalized. Like one Crew might have better numbers unQuIpped, but the other might max out higher, if they can use better Quipment.

    Datacore gets you voyage rank, obtainability, ship skill and collections easily. That pretty much covers everything you need. I do miss the creative descriptions of crew on the Big Book but there was a reason it went through multiple writers including I think already shutting down once before it was fully cancelled, it takes human volunteering and was too much hassle.

    I see more cards on datacore for a Far Beyond the stars collection for today but I don't remember seeing an announcement.

    Big book was a fan created love song for the game, and the creators fell out of love with the game and broke up with it. Such is life.

    I honestly wonder how much the loss of big book hurt sales. It used to be a free hype machine for the developers. People used to watch the weekly streams and get excited about the newest crew.

    I remember at the time, there were many many full and competitive fleets, all of them with a whale of two. Things have really, really changed.

    What's really missing from datacore, is a ship battle rating. It'd be very helpful to see at a glance which crew is better for FBB.

    It is there. And you sort it by whatever you need

    Hm, I asked for crew ratings for FBB, and you seem to be pointing to ship ratings... Or have I missed something?

    You wrote ship battle rating. For me that indicates SHIP.
    What you then ask for is cards ship abilities. They are also to be found

    That's where it's needed.

    You can click a checkbox to see ship ability. The ranking is evaluating how the crew does in a full battle. If you're trying to solve nodes and not picking a balanced crew, the ranking is largely meaningless. Just look at ship ability and pick from there.

    Well, if I can do 20m damage solving nodes by picking the best crew for the task, rather than doing 5m damage by picking random crew, that does make a difference. It means I can save 1 valor to spend on nightmare or brutal honor farming.

    Sure, but showing ship abilities is more likely to help you pick the crew for that than showing ranking. Especially because there are offensive and defensive rankings and you need to think about your other crew and which ranking you want to look at.

    Agreed. It's the thing I need replaced most.

    Edit: Just saw the whole thing about Boss ratings. Ratings for ships are nice. What about the ship battle ratings for crew?
