as she hasn't traveled through time (yet) and since we already have a version of Taylor in game after time traveling, it's not logical for her to assume traits best associated with an existing variant.- crew who unintentionally arrives in an alternate timeline, in the past, or in the future
- crew whose intentional action results in them arriving in the past, or future, with no way back

It's very disheartening to see that because we have the means and the opportunities to provide a new crew (+ copies) more often and more easily, it's viewed as no longer special.
There's tons of work put into it, lots of thoughts as well, the intent is, and always will be, to do something nice for our players. Granted the execution had flaws this time.
I didn't want to say anything at first, because this is very typical of gaming communities and society as a whole, but I have hopes that we all can collectively be more mindful, and make this world a better place. Yes, I went there, no regret.
In conclusion, a big thank you to all who are appreciative of gestures, big and small.
As for those of you who are disappointed, that's perfectly fine, we all have different expectations, but maybe be more mindful in how you express said disappointment

We have been getting a 4/5 crew every month since objective events were introduced, so that has nothing to do with First Contact Day celebrations, aside from the theme. My point is that this year we are getting less on the day itself than has been the custom for several years, unless there is more to come.

You are combining First Contact Day celebrations and objective events, which are mutually exclusive. A monthly OE was expected for May regardless of FCD, so the rewards for each should be considered separately. We aren’t getting a free 5* for FCD for the first time in the last 4 years. It’s not like we’re getting a free 5th copy of the OE featured 5* crew, which would be an incremental gift.
2021 FCD - 1/5 crew
March 2022 OE - 4/5 crew
2022 FCD - no crew
April 2022 OE - 4/5 crew

The Objective Event clearly IS part of the FCD Event. Excluding it to claim this is less than we usually get? When usually we get a Legendary from a BeGold? Disingenuous at best. This year we are getting FOUR copies of the Legendary. Which is more than one. And people say I am negative and contentious.

It is that time of the year where we celebrate First Contact Day!
This year we’re celebrating with:
- five free crew slots for everyone, bringing the base total to 165
- a free giveaway pack in honor of Star Trek Mission: Chicago
Starting on Wednesday, April 6, at 1am ET (5:00 UTC) look out for:
- a free giveaway pack of the iconic Solkar, the Vulcan who made First Contact on Earth with Zefram Cochrane.
- an Endurance Objective Event allowing you to gain 3 additional copies of Solkar
Both will be available until Thursday, May 5.
New collection
Our Mega-Event starts later this week, as announced the featured trait will be the ‘displaced’ trait, and for the occasion we’re releasing the corresponding collection, “Temporal Calamity”.
Star Trek: Mission Chicago
STAR TREK TIMELINES will be present at the convention, from Friday until Sunday! (April 8 to April 10)
WRG_Ben will share some facts about the game, and answer questions, on Friday, April 8 from 5pm to 5:45 pm (local time), in room W470(a-b).
He will also await you in the gaming arena to show you a very early demo of a brand new upcoming feature.
A video of the demo will also be made available to everyone later this week, exciting times!
Server Release
With this week’s server release we’ve made the following changes:
- addition of the Tal Shiar trait to Investigator Laris
- Angela Martine gets a flavor text
- the proficiency on Resistance Burnham’s Uniform 5* is now in the proper order
- Badge Challenged Linus’ Tricom 5* stats are now more in line with the quality of the item, the overall stats have been changed as follow: DIP proficiency 102-242 (previously 102-202)
