Can someone tell my why K'Tong can hit a cloaked ship?

  • It's just the delay. If their shots were fired before you cloaked, they'll still register as impacts.

    GhostStalker is correct that there is often a delay and visual bug that makes damage come later when you are in cloak but that really hit you while you were uncloaked. You can try it and see it for yourself. Fight a ship and let their person hit you for a second before cloaking and you will see the damage come in late. That is not to say that it is not possible there is another bug but that is the most common bug, delayed damage. And that delayed damage would show the most with a crew person like Killy who has instant 400% damage. Even a split second of an attack from Killy before you cloak can be devastating and the cloak only can activate a split second before Killy attacks so easy to not get in the cloak first.

    It kind of makes sense to me that there'd be a visual damage delay, because I prefer for my skill timing to be based on when I tap the buttons. The nature of games however is that AFTER I tap my button (when I want an instant damage output), it takes time to display the resulting animation. It could even be delayed by an animation currently in progress showing a prior automatic attack. It would look pretty jarring if in the middle of a ship's phaser/torpedo/disruptor firing it suddenly disappeared and reappeared a microsecond after you tapped the button to try and match the visual attack to your actions.

    Time delay damage has been the only bug I have seen in arena besides the bug that sometimes kicks me out of the game when the arena battle starts.
