I do not know about others, but $24.99 US for one copy of a card plus some chrons and credits seems like a lot. At a lower price point I would be tempted. And the chrons and credits have zero influence on the purchase decision. I love the idea behind it. The price is just too rich.

I agree. I have him immortalized. He does make some shuttles but I refuse to use a two skiller on a voyage. Perhaps if there’s ever an expedition again he’ll come up

I swear we all just had this conversation last week about Mirror T'Pol...
Btw, I think the other thread was deleted but someone got their wish for someone starting a Mariachi Q complaint thread.

I didn't want to use anyone's name and point them out.
Smarter move would have been to feature Sheriff Q since he's equally bonus crew and in a collection.

Less then smart, pricing yourself out of sales.
Db, generally people do want both but they are not often then not going to follow Barney Stinsons Number one rule.
If you have to choose, new is always better.
Thus one, the T'Pol last week.. are means to help players feel they have an advantage. Or at least not get left behind .
No one is worrying about that at these prices.
Grinding honor, community portal pulls, and occasional luck in credit portal pulls. I've even given up on the Double your crew offer.
Now if DB wants an idea to make it a little more appealing - consider rebalancing the crew when you do the sale. Power creep is a thing. Buying crew behind the power creep curve just isn't appealing. Rebalancing serves two purposes. 1) Older players who got the card already get a shiny new toy. 2) New players might actually buy it.
Food for thought. There's plenty of negativity in this thread. But sometimes in negativity, an opportunity presents itself.
For me, the limit is $10. If the offer or featured crew/ship/etc is something I really want, I am willing to seriously consider $10 for an offer. My bar for $5 offers is lower, I've bought several of those despite not really "needing" them because they did help me out and I do feel it is important to support the game financially.
I am on record as having said Captain Janeway is my favorite captain and I would very much love to get every copy of Janeway FF/FE eventually, but only within the confines of my expressed limits. If an offer comes out for $12 that will give me a really good Janeway I do not currently have I will say 'no'. It will be brutally hard and it will bug me for days, but I will decline. My limits are my limits, and without discipline it jeopardizes everything.
The double up offer would give you a Mariachi Q and all the items and trainers needed to level him up to 50.
So I agree the $8.99 is a better price for an older 5* crewmember.
As a great American once said, "the rent is too damn high!". Revert these offers to reasonable prices (especially for what you're getting) and you'll make some cash. Obviously it's never going to be disclosed but I would sure love to know the difference in how many people bought those $10 offers versus these outrageous $25 ones.
Doesn’t seem like it makes much sense from a maintaining card value standpoint to add a legendary in for free, and some chron buyers may buy it just for the chrons and airlock the gold.
Maybe the constructive suggestion is that they take the chrons out of the offer and make the older legendary 9.99, since no one seems to think the chrons are with much.
Ah! Excellent point
Part of my point. I do not buy chrons. I am satisfied with what I get through the game processes. $9.99 for 1250 may be a great price, but not for me. They are giving me something I do not care about and expecting it to motivate me as if I did. Objectively, the card plus chrome plus credits for $25 makes sense, but only to someone that wants all three pieces. I am only interested in the card so, for me (and most others I suspect) that bundle is a pretty bad deal.
The problem is the exact same deal was previously offered for $10. That's the baseline upon which all of this is looked at. They initially offered a 1/5 plus the same amount of chrons and credits for $10 but now are changing the price on us. You can't compare different offers because they clearly make no sense. For instance you can get 10 packs for $10 but as soon as they start adding more packs in, the price jumps substantially to the point where you pay $50 for 30 packs (plus some other garbage).
