  • I mentioned item number one to a fleetmate the other day before this popped up. Despite a large number of rounds and high place finishes, Caretaker eludes me. Can we just make life a little easier for everyone playing? We dont need handouts, but up the odds in our favor a little

They wouldn't need to do it for everyone. They could increase (decrease?) RNG incrementally as time passes for players that don't have a Guantlet character so that the distribution favours players without one and lower it once a person already has 5 of the same so they don't end up with 17 while 10 other players have none.

    Dear Star Trek Santa,

I am terribly sorry to bother you again sir, I know you are very busy this time of year and have a lot of irons in various fires, but I just realized I forgot to add one additional item to my wish list. It gladdened my heart to see that so many of my fellow STT players have taken so warmly to my original wish list items that it is my hope that this has endeared you enough to indulge me this late entry? In either case, we will leave an extra jumja stick out for you next to the wood stove this winter.

With regard to the wish list item I forgot to include, if it is at all possible Star Trek Santa, I would really appreciate the ability to spend some sort of in-game currency to reset the trait assigned to a specific posting on voyages. As fun as it is to think about a "physician" working in Engineering, sometimes the listed trait makes so little sense or is so impossibly specific that it really limits or outright eliminates the ability for players to match the trait to the posting.

Again, sorry for the late entry Star Trek Santa; I continue to wish you well and hope you have an enjoyable and rewarding holiday season!

All I want for Christmas is Captain Spock but I know that won't happen. So suggest a pick'em top ten of characters you want then later on a day you spin on Xmas Day to see which from your list you have won. Or do a ship advent calendar thing by using the transporter room see who or what you get each day.

You can always buy packs. Or get him down the road in a pack. It would be good if we could buy any legendary we dont have with 60,000 honor or 75,000.

Well I am F2P and been lucky in other character pickups. I picked up Commander Kira which was another I wanted and got in a free 1 10x pull in a past event like a few weeks ago recently. Yes I would love pay honor for any legendary but doubt that will happen and probably cost more than any legendary in the honor hall.

Any of the quality-of-life improvements like warping cadets would be great, but Santa should really bring something fitting for the season, right? Nexus Picard, for instance - one of (I think? Unless I'm forgetting something) only two times Christmas got featured (that and Voyager being turned into a tree ornament), and yeah it's basically just Picard in an early-DS9 uniform, but there's a good shot on google with him standing next to the tree, they could just move the tree more in behind him for the card art.

The other time Christmas was featured to my knowledge was the 11:59 episode from voyager. While it wasn’t a great episode, Shannon O’Donnel would make a good SCI/ENG/DIP combo.

Warping cadets is equivalent to about 15 free crew slots I would guess. Perhaps that is why it hasn't been done.

Not really.. if you're tight with slots or you just got yourself a right combination of cadets, it is equivalent of 6-8 crew slots, but not less than that.

For me it is...Sito, Seska, Yar, T’Pol, EMH, Ezri, Lwaxana, Torres, Saavik.

    So 9 slots.

    Dear Star Trek Santa,

I am sorry for flooding your inbox but it just occurred to me that there is one more thing (I know, I say that a lot!) I would like to add to my wish list for Star Trek Christmas, and that is, you know if it is not too much trouble oh possible Vulcan of yule tidings, for ANY new source of basic holoprograms. Currently Star Trek Santa the only people in the entire galaxy that seem to have them are those secretive jerks manipulators fellows, and their shuttle missions are not always the easiest and well, gosh darn it, they don't seem to include basic holoprograms very often even when successful.

If it would be easier Star Trek Santa I would also accept it if the drop rates for holoprograms remained constant but that some of the equipment recipes that require an endless supply of these things were changed to only require a lot of them instead. Or maybe let us get two of them every time we replicate them? I don't know Star Trek Santa, but the need for holoprograms FAR outweighs the supply.

Actually, I am not sure if you are the correct person to write to Star Trek Santa, but I'd like to file a grievance against both of the Ferengi factions. There is a monumental need for basic holoprograms, and since neither of them offer any, they have GOT to be in violation of at least half the Rules of Acquisition!

    Yours faithfully,

    -Bylo

Run the third MWF cadet mission on Elite six times a day with an ad doubler for a couple weeks and you should have plenty of basic holoprograms for your needs. I did that for a while about a month ago and without going back to replenish my supply since then I still have a healthy stockpile on hand:

Warp would let you do all cadet missions through the week and weekend at epic for all missions. The best I have seen that gets you that is 9 crew for week days and 6 crew at the weekend. If anyone can do better I would love to see it.

I use three green, three blue, not worried about hitting epic on all. I hit epic on MWF, Tuesday and Sunday who cares, epic Saturday and Thursday elite

Right now I use 3 blue females and 5 greens even though I can do all my needs with 3-4 greens but I don't have slot issues for quite some time now. I wish the ability to warp cadet missions more for the practicality of it, not because of crew slots that much.

On my alt account though, I'm desperate for slots (using 7 blues and greens) so I'd definitely have that benefit there.

Thank you for the tip, but does this mean I don't get to grieve the Ferengi factions?!

Nope, feel free to grieve on, but next to what Dirk says also sometimes spend a whole week only replicating the basic holoprogramms (without levelling up crew who need them). Done from time to time together with the returns from shuttles and the cadet challenges and you have so many that you can even sell some to the Ferengis...
