I got another three-seater again last night, if anyone else wants to call me a liar.........
Nobody called you a liar. Yourself stated that you only were „98%“ sure, and i only replied that i am 100% sure that it wasn t a 3 seater.
Its highly unlikely that nobody of the Top 50 fleets hasn t seen any 3 seater, but you claim to have. Missions are same for everyone, and many players always have the max amount of missions open, so clearly someone else would have noticed if there were some random 3 seat missions popping up.
I cannot do screenshots on the tablet. Y'all have a nice day. Since I did not know that non-Event Shuttles could give Event Points, I guess I got super lucky.............
I'm done...........
You can screenshot you just do not know how to do it.
If you say what kind of operating system you have on your tablet, some one will let you know how to do it.
Not sure, but you could mistake a returning shuttle for a three seater.
The game only shows your crew on return. If you are in a squadron and using the shared crew, you will only see your three crew on a four seater on return.
On iOS you have to hit the power button and the home button at the same time to get a screenshot.
Well, then. It could be the shared Crew thing. Which someone could have mentioned before I was called a liar not once but TWICE. I am sorry I was unclear on the tablet issue. I guess I hoped people could pick up by context the issue is that I don't know how to do it. The "manual" that came with the tablet is a single folded sheet if paper., The size of a pack of stamps. I am home sick, and worried about being fired for it Monday. Why don't y'all just declare "victory" in this thread and we can all move on.
Unil the next time I make a mistake and the "community" can dogpile again.............

ding ding ding, that's a typo! :DD
but dude, lighten up... I used my phone for 2 years before needing to take a screenshot and then I googled it... Took me like 5 tries to get it to work the first time and still does every time... the timing is so tight it is super annoying.
On iOS you have to hit the power button and the home button at the same time to get a screenshot.
it's the same for my Samsung J5, but super picky on the timing...
On my tablet it's a simultaneous press of the power button and the volume down button — and yes, usually takes me a few tries to get it to work. That's one reason why Steam is nice, just a quick F12 whenever you wanna screen grab something.
Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing. ~ Data, ST:TNG "Haven"
On my previous Samsung tablet it was a full "Handswipe" from right to left (and very kludgy),
I just bought a new one, same brand, and the new OS was nice to provide an InGame app which runs in parallel and that has a screen grab feature.
I’m an Amish farmer when it comes to technology. When they were still at home I’d ask my kids, now if I absolutely must I google and hope I find an answer quick. To this day I have never figured out how to properly do a quote on any forum, so DScott Hewitt don’t feel bad about not knowing how to do something. Hope your job is safe too..
and the snipped comment was quite necessary, if you don’t want negative feedback then own up to errors and get the game fixed when players of it tell you to not when you all get around to it or never in a few cases. I’d be happy as a clam to extol the virtues of CS, quality control, etc etc if there were enough examples to do so. Get your house in order for those that frequent your establishment and once that is done you can dictate how we decide to frequent it. Until then man up to the errors quickly and decisively and there will be fewer if any of us needing to correct you. For me I’ve dropped over $4 grand in this game, I still support it by playing, ive earned my right to speak however I see fit when boneheaded things are done. Quality control isn’t rocket science, I do it on a daily basis and have for over 35 years at my place of employment. It takes concentrated effort on a daily basis and accountability when things don’t go as planned. It’s amazing how smoothly things can function when attention is paid to the small details. I am not about to say that @DScottHewitt did not have another DB bug and actually had the three seaters that DB intended.
I get a kick out of seeing people basically say, by denying it could happen, that DBs bug could not also had a bug.
I do agree that it is unlikely for a bug to effect only a few people, so I tried to figure what DScottHewitt might have seen. The only thought was on the return of a four seat shuttle that had the shared squadrons leader crew. Those shuttles on return only show your own three crew. This could mislead one into thinking it was a three seater.
But again I cannot say with a 100% certainty that a bugged event worked as unintended.

I'm guessing it was the shared Crew thing. I used him a lot. Sorry to everyone I was feeling bad and got grumpy yesterday.

People are surprised there was a mistake with the event? That’s akin to having your mind blown because water is wet. It is what it is...give DB the constructive criticism and hope that at some point they invest in quality control that works. Could some people have seen 3 slot shuttles? Sure, glitches happen. The same way DB intended for there to be 3 slot shuttles, some people might have had them show up. While I find that improbable, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility.

100% sure Ive run 3 seater shuttles this event on Bajoran and Terran Empire factions.
I was able to cherry pick using only one faction. I used section 31.
I did not get any three seaters for section 31. But again it still does not mean that section 31 did not have a bug too that would give some three seaters.
Thank you for the additional info provided regarding missions seats.
We did intend for this particular event to have a mix of 3, 4 and 5 missions seats. As you have noticed this ended up not being the case.
This does not mean that the event is broken however, and no change will be made.
Well, I can appreciate not wanting to make any changes, but claiming it isn't broken is an economy of truth. The first phase was functional, but it wasn't working as intended, which is pretty much what 'broken' means.
If DB ever decide to expand into the pet shop industry, may I suggest the Norwegian Blue parrot as a suitable stock?
It gave me an early finish anyway, once I'd got the 5* item it was time to tap out.

It was a very careful choice of words that really should have read like this:

Trying to fix this on the fly will cause a service outage and carries a risk of introducing new errors. Rather than take the event down for a special server push - thus unfairly depriving some players of the ability to react to the change, based on time zones or other circumstances outside everyone’s control - and with no possible replacement event due to the sequential story set up for the month, we have elected to leave the event unchanged.
We apologize for any hardship caused and you should all receive ten transmissions for each event faction and three 10x Standard Boost packs via in-game mail before the server reset tonight. Please file a support ticket if you do not receive these items by that time.
No answer will make things perfect again. Some people in this situation would win the lottery on getting a ton of time boosts while others would be stuck with extra 3* or 4* reward boosts, therefore opening up the possibility of “not the same compensation for everyone” claims. However, it not only acknowledges the problem, it gives a clear and concise reasoning why no changes will be made and offers something to recoup lost merits spent on extra transmissions and boosts lost on failed missions - and does so with as much time as would be reasonable before the end of the Faction phase on on Saturday.
BROKEN (adjective): having been fractured or damaged and no longer in one piece or in working order.
I find this truly fascinating as based on this definition, all sides are correct! The key phrase seems to be 'in working order'; that in my opinion allows for the explanation of the event not working as intended. The event still worked, so was arguably still in working order and therefore not broken. So IMO Shan is correct.
However (as Tuvok is fond of saying) broken also means 'damaged' so everyone saying the event is broken because it was not working properly are also IMO correct.

Isn't language fun?!
Semantics aside, the "New TV Test" is my arbiter of if something is broken.
You buy a new TV. Big one, 70-100 inch range, OLED and smart enough to make an M-8 or a HAL 9000 cry.
Problem is, you can only get 3 channels on it. There's a flaw stopping it getting the rest.
So, you return to the ersatz smile stuffed into a cheap polyester suit to complain, who cordially informs you that it is working order, but not operating entirely as intended, and, so, no refund or replacement.
Now, on a scale of one to Kurt Cobain, how blown would your head be at that answer?
I use that train of thought whenever I hit a bug in something I'm writing, and the churlish inner brat is muttering "so effing what?"
I'm not equating an event with a pricey TV, but recognising the basic expectations of the end user.

I don't really think it's a compensatory issue. I hadn't really intended my comment to spur debate or anything, just irked at the silly "it's not broken" response.
Part of DB doing better is not proclaiming their urinal splashback as the morning dew.
It was helpful for Shan to confirm this wasn’t a game mechanics change (thank you if you’re reading!) but slightly disheartening how flippantly the mistake was dismissed. But no surprise given the extensive catalogue of bugs.
Can folks make up their mind about how they want faction events to be.
There are three things that impact performance in a faction event.
1. How often you send shuttles (including alarms during the night?
2. How many boosts/tokens you use
3. How good your crew are compared to others.
Having no 3 seat shuttles, makes having a deep crew bench important. Which in effect lowers the importance of the first two indicators (the ones everyone has been complaining about being too important for the last month).
Thank you for the additional info provided regarding missions seats.

"The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself."
The missions are the same for everyone. Sometimes they will be better for your crew and sometimes they will not. It is not something to get excessively excited about.
^Just a reminder.^
As it stands, they did the best thing we could have hoped for once the problem was noticed:
They left it alone. Attempting to change the event while it was ongoing would have be awful for balance within the event and could have very easily lead to more issues.
They publicly acknowledged the problem. No, it may not be exactly how some people might have wanted it, but they still posted in this thread and (to at least some extend) owned the problem. They absolutely didn't have to do this. They could have easily said "nah, we change events up every time, that's how it goes" and we would have been none-the-wiser. This is a MASSIVE shift from how they've handled things like this in the recent past and (hopefully) an indication of more transparency in the future.
