What Happens If I Delete My Facebook Account?

In light of the New York Times's recent expose that Facebook gave access to users' private messages to the Bank of Canada, Netflix, and Spotify, I am strongly considering deleting my Facebook account. When I signed up to play Timelines, I created my account through FB, however. If I delete it, will there be any effect on my Timelines account?

Deleting your FB account might make it impossible for you to log in on your chosen devices.
But Support can help you with this by making sure your account is registered with an email address and password so you will be able to log in with those credentials instead of via your Facebook profile.
