This is the most brutal event I’ve been a part of. Craziness.
So I take it you did not take part in the recent events featuring Hawk and Braxton? Both of those were completely bonkers!
We really are similar. I was thinking the same thing, but chose not to write it out. I figure how intense the event is is very personal based on lots of factors. Last event was crazy intense for me. This one is not. I'm sitting at rank 1700 or 1800, but I have 700 super rares to turn in, so I'm not concerned. Obviously not everyone is in the same position.
I was expecting 514k to be safe for 1000-1500 rank. I realized with 25 minutes to go that would not be the case. I took my main account to 542k which I was pretty sure would be safe. However, my rank was in the 1400- 1500. So I was a little nervous. But I finished at rank 1424. My second account I was using to find the 1500 rank. So I saw that it was looking good near the end at 540k VP. So, I left it there it finished rank 1444.
about 32K movement in last 30 minutes. All those last minute turn-ins of SRs no doubt. Dropped me from 345th to 740th.
Poor Captain Mark! (by 55 VP – ouch!)
There still was movement. He could have moved up. If I did not have problems with my last pic loading. I would have gotten one more pic closer to the end.
When I went back in I had to turn in my last SR. So I could not look to see how the rank 1500 was doing.
For those comparing to “old cutoffs”, I got to watch 1000 slide by as I drifted down about 30 minutes out this morning, and based on the rate of VP accrual going on at the time, I would say 1000 finally ended up between 590K and 600K.
“Home For the Holidays” with Sphere Builder prize was 516K for rank 1000, and I think the rule of them prior to that was 500K-ish for a pure Galaxy. So 532K here for rank 1500 / 590K for 1000 is definitely an increase, though nowhere near as bad as the cray cray 800K for Plague of Plagued with Dark Ages McCoy on threshold driving it bazongas...
A tad lower than I expected, but good information to have. I might get unlazy and do the math later, but does anybody have an idea of how many chrons that is.

Depends very strongly on how much you had pre-farmed and if you had all the event crew. If you had no items going in, the average chron cost across all missions was about 67 Chrons, and if you had all of the event crew, the VP per mission value including crits was 1665 VP / mission, so worst case of 532,000 / 1665 * 67 = 21,407 chrons, but that’s not very helpful. I spent between 4000-5000 Chrons during the event leveraging stuff that accumulates surpluses normally, and leveraging stuff i pre-farmed using the previous week’s Skirmish Chrons - hard to say how many those were but probably another couple thousand. Overall it wasn’t too different from past spending for me - maybe 6000-7000 before or during the event.

getting my 742nd place, with just over 800 SRs all turned in on second phase, and starting with all event crew FF/FE (Except Braxton at 1/5*) took just under 9500 chrons. That also includes about 30-40% of items pre-farmed. (guesstimate)
I had 2500 to spare, but not worth trying to get to next level for a mere 25 Dils.

It is hard for me, because I like to leave myself with as many items as I went in with but usually more. That is, the ones that I need to farm not the ones I have a surplus with. Also, I do not know what went to leveling crew (I will replenish items used for crew at same time, because running a supply kit.)
My guess is similar. I guess between 5000-7000 supply kit reduced Chrons. Of course without supply kit would be more, but, silly to not use one.

Might get to FF/FE 1701 Jadzia after all.

Y’all enjoy L’Rell. I’m out.

Somebody was going for the photo finish. :-)
