Is Thrax basically Kol House of Kor with Cardassian skin?

I’m not complaining, always happy to get a new 5/5* legendary. BUT (there’s always a but), he’s freakishly similar in skill stats to Kol. Doesn’t really scream out variety (ok now it sounds like I’m complaining).

Definitely not worth a DYC or citation for anyone who already has both Kortar and Kol, or one of the many other stout SEC/COM crew out there. I imagine that would not have been the case if he were SEC/SCI/COM...oops.

Thanks. The same skill set, in the same order (SEC/CMD/DIP) and in back to back events. Again, happy to get a 5*, but it’s like DB just took 5% off Kol and gave him a different animation. I guess variety isn’t the spice of life.

Thrax does have the investigator trait with a sec base. They should help with one of the hardest nodes to clear.

Can't find a bright side other than Thrax gets 25 extra antimatter when the Cardassian trait comes up in Voyages. And that's pretty small potatoes.

Very disappointing Im coming up to 100k honor I guess the two citations I am about to get will immortalise Braxton instead. Not a bad one to make double figures of immortal legendaries.

He'll be good for when the Cardassian trait (maybe Veteran, too) comes around on voyages, at least. Considering I'm stuck with 1/5 Gul Madred or 2/5 OO Garak, I'll take a decent Cardassian, even a reskin of Kol.

For Voyages he falls in between Kol and Kortar ... but with the double 1000 base stats he's got that going for him, and he at least has 3 skills ... he'll be my #3 base SEC and #4 base CMD (my T'Kuvma is only 4/5)

I'll cite and I guess I'm covered for SEC/CMD shuttles for the time being (considering we all recently got a 1/5 Durango Troi for free too ... SEC-base overload).

By the way, why does the Rura Penthe Commandant have the interrogator trait? I know it helps for this event, but I don’t recall him demonstrating this skill even a little in the movie. In fact, I seem to remember Rura Penthe Kirk tricking him into revealing more information (“he was about to tell us the whole thing!”) than the other way around.

All good for me, Kol is literally my only gold SEC crew. So now I got another and a bunch more traits covered.

Can't really see what they could change him with tho, he's pretty much your basic "I'm in charge here" crew with CMD/SEC/DIP. Tho various sources say he's actually pretty spiritual/a decent bloke so medicine as his 3rd skill might not have been completely out of the question.

Looks like the 50k honor earmarked for megas will carry over into June's mega. I too am getting disappointed with the lack of variety. What we need is a mega where physicians, and innovators or jury riggers are bonus crew, and the mega gold is primary / secondary of MED / ENG in either order, plus some random tertiary. That 50k honor set aside for megas would disappear so fast. As in, I'd have that cite ready to go before the event even started.

Its arguably part of every prison Warden's job.

There's no shame in getting out thought by Kirk. He's a mighty Starfleet Captain! RPC probably got demoted to his position.

Just saying this isn’t the first time almost the same stats has happened

I remember feeling a little cheated by having an almost carbon copy two mega events in a row but at least they were MED titans...I think I was better off for MED than many dolphins at the time and still appreciated the extra doctor. Now? Kol was already pretty meh for me (though he does go out on voyages from time to time at 4/5*) and Thrax is just more of the same.

Warship is a beast and Tier 1. He's not in the portal so don't hesitate to use a citation on him. He's worth it.

He’s the last crew I went really bonkers for...top-1000 finish in the week he was the reward, then the $100 deal for two more stars (my Christmas present to myself) and some unbelievably lucky drops in the event packs included with the deal to FF him. His voyage utility is immense and he’s been critical for a few Faction events as well where MED crew are limited.
