I bought this the second I was able, and IMO it is one of the best in-game purchases I've ever made.
Just thought I'd mention this if anybody was on the fence or unsure, but you do get bonus dilithium (based on VIP level) when you buy the premium track. I was gonna buy it no matter what, but if this helps others make an informed decision, I hope this helps.
Yep. I'm biting, in spite of my total disinterest in Leland.
Question: did we ever confirm, if you buy the premium track later in the month, that you get earlier premium tiers retroactively?
It states it explicitly on the Campaign page: "Purchasing the Premium Reward Track unlocks bonus rewards with every Tier completed."
Thanks! I'd missed that reading through.
I'll be traveling a lot next month, and assuming the next campaign starts right away, will definitely want to wait and see how far I can advance between long bouts without phone or internet.
Things I really like about the campaign rewards:
- 4/5 crew (premium)
- 4/4 crew
- 5* citation (premium)
- 4* citation
- 1,083 dilithium (822 in premium)
- 6 x 10x premium pulls (5 in premium)
- 7,000 honor (4,000 in premium)
- 16,300 merits (8,800 in premium)
Well worth the price of ~$15 Canadian, especially if I decide to skip the occasional monthly card now.

How easy should it be to hit rank 100? Is there a decent margin for error if you miss some accolades?
Someone do math.
DB has said it should take 26 days with 2 days left for any missed stuff. You can also finish it with dilithium. I do not know how much it would take. Depends on how close you were.
I've given this some thought over the last 24 hours when I wasn't dealing with other stuff and I would like to share with you all why I think, based on this initial run of the feature, why this is worth buying assuming you have the money and are considering it. First though, big thanks to @Zom[BAD] Squirrel for that unbelievably great visual breakdown of rewards!
While not a day 1 player, I've been around long enough at this point to have experienced much in this community and in this game, and if I could boil down one of the biggest gripes with people about the business model of this game and parent company(s) it is that it operates like a Star Trek casino where players pay money to buy chances to get things. You pay real money for things like packs which are not guaranteed to contain anything specific, and some people have found this frustrating.
A second amalgamation of player discord has been that the parent company(s) do not listen or care to the playerbase.
I'm here to say that I feel this new feature directly addresses BOTH of those player gripes, because it demonstrates that the parent company(s) do listen as this new feature is a pretty definitive break from the Star Trek casino model: you are paying a known amount of money and you know EXACTLY what you are going to get (well, nearly exactly, those item crates are still random, but IMO fun).
I am very glad to support this new feature, it provides real value, its value is transparent, and I believe it also represents a renewed partnership between the parent company(s) and the players.

@DraftedMcCoy Yesterday I got 900 accolades out of completing the daily missions. 100 were from the VIP bonus, so the minimum amount for completing dailies should be 800, which will allow you to unlock 4 tiers. If I didn't miss anything, this means that you could skip 3 days a month even as a VIP0 player.
What I've not seen mentioned ... I guess it is not part of the pay path ... but ...
Section 31 Georgiou isn't in the portal ... managed to get three copies during her recent event, so in a few days I'll immortalise another crew ... this is really nice, as otherwise I'd have to wait close to a year before she's added to the portal to immortalise her.
So ... great choice on DB's part!
I really hope that for future Campaigns they continue this practice ... i.e. putting recent Skirmish or Faction Threshold 4*s in the rewards ... yes three copies will most probably be redundant, but I love the fact you can immortalise.
Granted ... this is from a viewpoint of someone who doesn't buy packs ... but I feel the regular track is aimed at players like me.
ps - Not sure if Leland is in the portal or not, if he isn't ... great!
Also, got exactly 4 tiers in one day ... plenty of time to pick up all rewards.
It would be nice if DB could put the information which level provides how many bonus accolades into the ingame VIP bonus page. I am currently at VIP6, and obviously this grants zero bonus on this.
Yes, the legendary Citation itself is worth the $10
I'm probably going to get it. It's clear that it's the best deal in the game. However, as my playing has tapered off I'm going to wait to see where I'm at towards the end of 28 days. If I think I can finish all the tiers then I will buy the premium, since you get all the rewards that would have been earned. Going forward I will make this the practice, depending on who the 5* is and whether or not I need the 4*. But seriously, good job DB. This feature is on point.
Drunken Dahar Masters is recruiting active players.

Bonus accolades are provided at VIP level*100. At VIP 6 this will give you 600 accolades over the course of the campaign. There is a slight issue with the campaign being 28 days, and the daily rewards running over 30-31 days.
I would love to see coffee Janeway and Frog Paris as the four stars. Give us players a chance to create a lizard Janeway, or add stars onto her. Alternatively the two 4* crew that will be merge to create 5* cheesecake.

When you get double items in Daily rewards you also get double accolades. So for VIP6 on 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 of every month you will get double accolades.

It's honestly a quite impressive list for 10.99EUR, especially by DB standards. I'm definitely going to throw money at this.

45+5=50.

@Zom[BAD] Squirrel , the number of 2x-3hr boosts for the premium track is 11, not 10. Tier 95 gives 3 of them rather than 2.

I think this would encourage participation.
@Ishmael Marx
Counted 3 times already, i still have a total of 10. First tier(15) only provides
1, not 2.

Son of a ###. I un-offer my non-correction! Thanks!
