Yep. For anyone who has it up to level 10 and/or the right crew.
I’ve been real pleased with the Cube’s performance in Skirmishes but maybe I will have to test the Krayton to see what you guys are raving about. It hasn’t done much in the last several months other than an odd voyage here and there anyway.
I'm a Cube fellow myself, so my Skirmishes typically take 13-15 seconds, plus whatever animation time. I like Krayton as well, but as the hours roll on, my eyes tend to glaze during these battles sometimes, so I like the durability of the Cube for when I get distracted for a few seconds.
I will... Just hope it doesn't come off as elitist...
Krayton with Killy, RP Commandant, RP Commandant, and event crew. I take my 6-second 400% damage very seriously.
Edit: I'm a Bengals fan, so I am feeling very generous right now.
We're all going to lose to the Browns this season in the AFC North, anyway, so...
That's what they say, but... It just isn't easy to believe. I mean... It's the Browns.
I know what you mean... it's a very surreal time. But, then, we just handed our 37-year old QB $68 the day before the Draft instead of giving it to Antonio Brown and LeVeon Bell, so, Steeler Nation just lives in the realm of the surreal these days.

Thanks for sharing, this thread has become very helpful for several reasons. I'm very tempted to drop a ridiculous amount of dil to hopefully get more RP Commandants after this mega.
In fact, since the +ATK bonus from one commandant will benefit another one (if I hit the right one first), my theory is it might be better to keep 1 at 1/5 instead of aiming for FF a single one (for someone like me with no killy). Problem is I'd need to invest in levelling him all the way to lvl100 to see if that works, and he was pretty chron brutal for me to level up.

Antonio Brown and Vontez Burfict now play for the same team (the Raiders)... Talk about surreal.

I recommend one at 5/5 and another at 1/5. One to boost attack and do damage, the other to hammer in more damage. If you have the dilithium, it may be worth it. If you are talking about buying dilithium, I would probably go for one and DYC for the other. If you already have one RPC, then one more will speed up your skirmishes. But I regretted not doubling up on Killy when I first got her.
I'm seriously considering the Krayton now, I have Killy at 1/5 and a commandant at 2/5 i'm figuring Conditioned La Forge would be the 3rd crew but I need to find another crew for the 4th slot perhaps Reed?

I recommend the Krayton. Maybe add CO Leland? He'd be your insurance policy.
Thanks, guys. I tried the Krayton with my Commandant, Mountaineer Spock, and Conditioned LaForge. I have never had such short battles. Wonderful. I still want Killy.
I had an opposite experience with the Krayton, loaded with Thrax for bonus purposes alongside a 2/5* Killy, 1/5* RP Commandant, and 3/5* RP Kirk. I lost a third of my hull after the first battle, two thirds of the remaining hull after the second (when I repaired instead of taking a bonus reward), and managed to not lose much more for the remaining battles.
For the second round I went back to the Cube and selected Killy, Thrax, the Commandant, and Lieutenant Chekov instead of Kirk (thanks to the Cube’s laser cutting beam) and never had to repair once, with faster battles to boot because my insta-damage crew weren’t missing so frequently. Both ships my have an accuracy rating of 11 but if you look deeper, the Cube’s accuracy power is 19,200 while the Krayton only has 17,250.
I might experiment a little more with the Krayton, maybe even switching the Commandant out for my usual accuracy booster (Valeris) but for now I don’t see the benefit of reducing initialize/cooldown times if I have to fire twice to actually land a hit.

RP Kirk shouldn't be on the Krayton though, he's dependent on cloak which the Krayton does not have to give his 500% bonus. That campaign legendary CO Leland might work though with 8s 400% bonus? Also I think part of why the Krayton was working there is he's using the new LaForge instead of your Thrax as bonus crew, since LaForge gives bonus crit at 4 seconds.
I tried out the 10/10 Krayton ... after always using a 9/10 IKS T'Ong ... 2 set-ups:
- 4/5 T'Kuvma : 2/4 Changeling Bashir : 4/4 Ardra : 1/5 Killy.
I get around the 2:10-2:12 mark on average (total run ... from pressing the "Begin Skirmish" button to getting the 2000VP at the end and pressing "Okay"), once in a blue moon I have a slightly longer run due to my unattentiveness.
- 1/5 RP Commandant : 2/4 Changeling Bashir : 4/4 Ardra : 1/5 Killy.
Exactly the same as above.
My old set-up with the 9/10 IKS T'Ong:
- 4/5 T'Kuvma : 2/4 Changeling Bashir : 4/4 Ardra : 1/5 Killy ... can't remember if the seating order is correct.
About 2:20-2:25 on average ...
1. I actually prefer the T'Ong (also the way it looks in battle! I don't like the Cube at all, so only used it a couple of times a few skirmishes ago) ... even though it is a touch slower ... I feel the "flow" of pressing buttons in that manner comes more natural to me. Also see below. But I'll give the Krayton more time.
2. I can't imagine that the difference between a 1/5 and 5/5 Killy is worth in in Honor for citing her up just for this.
3. I prefer T'Kuvma to RP Commandant (or Killy if I use the Commandant) ... I like that he comes online just a touch later so you can stagger the blasts and it feels like if you miss with Killy (quite often the case really) you just finish it with T'Kuvma a few seconds later ... I've had times on the Krayton where if I didn't time it well I had to wait ages for them to come back online (and losing a lot of hull ... but I've never fixed it) ... I never had that issue with the T'Ong ... with the Krayton if it goes wrong there's no backup on the T'Ong there is. If the Krayton goes right, it is really fast.
I actually tried out a bunch of crew and ships a few skirmishes ago, just to change things up ... tried good crew with 7/10 ships ... just scrape by, but doable.
Anyway, settled on the T'Ong becuase of the "feel" ... I really wanted a Position ship to work, like the good ol' days with Boxer Chakotay, before his nerf, on the Val Jean, but don't have the right crew for it I think ... maybe Dancing Uhura will work ... will see if I can give it a try on Monday ... first have to rack up a decent amount of points.
I would have replied sooner been having too much fun, working like a dream this set up.
Conditioned La Forge is making sure everyone hits their mark.
Getting a boatload of Honor this time round, chrons have taken a bit of a hit though I got up to 50-55k worth of Intel and it's dropped down to about 33k but that could change still.
Thanks guys for the advice!
PS Leland Fully equipped already from level 8 and Conditioned La Forge (started at level 30) is 1 item shy of being fully equipped as well, and I finished Gralik Durr from level 70 (hopefully will be useful for next event if the predictions are right).

While we're discussing speed fights for skirmishes, I think the T'Ong is probably better suited for Arena, where Rura Penthe Kirk would really shine.
Agreed. Unless you don't have Killy or RPC. In which case, RP Kirk in T'Ong is probably a good setup.

Yeah, I hate the way the Cube looks in fights as well. It's like trying to watch a show with someone standing right in front of you.
