Kinda surprised how few Disco main crew there are. I can understand Enterprise being the red-headed stepchild, but I thought Discovery was the main attraction now. And where's the love for Chakotay and McCoy? Only one Legendary for Janeway's second in command, and while Spock and Kirk have quite a few legendaries poor old Bones only has two.

A more usefull stat is Main Cast Legendaries Per Season:

Discovery is actually pretty well represented for it's two seasons. TOS and TNG characters also both have multiple movie appearances inflating their scores, making Disco even more represented.

It's fairer to say that Disco as a series is well rounded in its representation.

• 31 individual characters
• 15/31 individual characters are main cast*
• 16/31 individual characters are guest or supporting
• 60 total crew members
• 35/60 Legendary crew members
• 16/35 Legendary crew members are main cast*
• 19/35 Legendary crew members are guest or supporting characters
• 17/35 Legendary crew members were featured in a mega-event
• 3/17 Legendary crew members featured in a mega-event were the Recurring Legendary

*Anson Mount and Ethan Peck were in the opening credits, making Pike and Spock main cast.

As you can see, what DB has done is to bring a lot of guest or supporting characters into the game, and given the majority of them a 5* card. This is in large part because so many of the Disco crew have been added in mega-events. I think it's also a key reason some feel Disco is over-represented; a lot of those 5* guest or supporting crew are comparable in appearances and significance to 4*'s in other series. (I'm a fan of the show, but even I wonder why the hell Torchbearer Rejac got a 5* card.)

Also of note: The first Disco crew member added (2* Lieutenant Commander Saru) was on 9/20/17--almost two full years ago. That means there have been only 16/103 weeks where the new crew member added in the portal was from Disco. That's 15%, leaving the other 85% divvied up among the other five series. In this context, I think complaints of the series being over-represented are overstated.

Well said Travis. Also, this game was running for quite a while before the Discovery show even came out, like 1.5 years or longer, and Dingbat you are not counting legendaries Lt. Owosekun who is bridge crew, Dr. Pollard who is chief medical officer, and Commander Reno who is probably main cast as well though "main cast" is a subjective term and not one well defined especially in regards to Discovery that has large crew turnover and changes to main cast each season.

Probably worth factoring in that the 90s/00s Treks followed the 20-24 episode seasons whereas Disco followed the 12/14 one, so if we were to do it by episode it’d dwarf the others.

Main cast is an interesting one, as technically Jake is main cast and Garaknisjt for example

I define "main cast" as any character whose portraying actor is named in the opening credits. Ergo, I counted Owo, Pollard, and Reno as guest or recurring characters in my stats.

No belief needed; it was talked about openly when the series launched.

Also, y'all have missed the most obvious 5*: Berserk Morn from "Blaze of Glory", who hit Quark with a barstool, ran screaming "We're doomed!" through the Promenade, and ended up bursting into the Bajoran shrine stark naked while Kira was meditating.

I think I'd rather get behind Berserk Morn than in front of him, but I don't think there's any spatial relationship that's palatable.

There's potential here for the first triple-fuse card. So long as the only Morn I need is the existing 3*, I could be tempted.
