Pack is listed as a "staff favorite." Really? A staff favorite is a character with no name, and about 8 seconds of screen time. That explains alot.............
We all have personal preferences, said preferences have a context you are not privy to.
This is not my pack but I do like the actor portraying this crew a lot.
Well, wouldn’t it be nice if every staff favorite pack came with a background anecdote as to why it’s a staff favorite? I know I’d probably enjoy reading that. Wasn’t that done one time?
I would enjoy something like this. A (second) little info button that says, "Tom in accounting picked out this gem. Though Wyatt only has one line, it is a turning point in the movie which is very memorable. Tom also enjoys long walks on the beach and not being eaten by sharks."
This character was unnamed in every capacity. I knew exactly who this was as soon as I saw the portrait in the portal so I went to look it up. The actor played a character on a completely different TV show by the name of Wyatt.
So either someone at DB is seriously confused or they've taken it upon themselves to give the guy a name based on nothing. In fact, in the game files he is simply referred to as Defiant Helmsman. So somebody somewhere at least had the sense that he has no established name.

Exactly! “For Halloween, Wendy from Digital Marketing picked Captain Kurn because Tony Todd is also... The Candyman! Don’t say Captain Kurn three times in a mirror though.”

It's an amusing inside joke, nothing more. See also: the Romulan character played by Mark Lenard (Sarek) being named Keras.

Is that really a problem? Really? “Unnamed Defiant Helmsman” doesn’t have a great ring to it, while Helmsman Wyatt is a nice nod to a role Adam Scott is a little better-known for. Since my memory can be poor, were you one of the people who brought out pitchforks for Yelgrun’s musician trait as well? Complaining about this name is on the same level as complaining about that - an unnecessary declaration of “wrongfun.”

Actually, Keras was named so by the Star Trek CCG. While not canon, it's technically an official source. This guy being named Wyatt is completely DB's creation. And I don't much like that.

True. Knowing that DB's license is as official as Decipher's was, how did you feel twenty years ago when the CCG came up with Keras?
WORF (clawing his way back into the command chair): "Report!"
HELMSMAN (punching buttons): "Main power's offline, we've lost shields and our weapons are gone."
WORF (smashing a malfunctioning console): "Perhaps today is a good day to die. Prepare for ramming speed!"
HELMSMAN: "Sir, there's another starship coming in. (turning back to look at WORF) It's the Enterprise!"
WORF (rising from chair to look)
I'm a fan of the actor so I'd give this a pass anyway, but I've always liked the scene. In my head it played out just like this on so many ships at Wolf 359 (not the Saratoga, of course, but close enough) but without the happy ending.
I figured his popularity was more on the actor and less on the character. Personally I can’t wait for Legendary Duty Officer Slater from The Undiscovered Country.
Count me in for that one. Even better: make him featured crew for a skirmish event adding a new legendary starship: U.S.S. Excelsior.

Do I really need to go through the game roster and list off all of the "generic name" crew members?
You can choose to spend your time however you like. I’ll just say that I bet the two that most readily come to mind are the Orion Slaver and Gorn Captain, to which I would respond:
-I bet an Athlete trait for the Slaver would be a nice, albeit understated, tip of the hat to Big Show’s primary occupation.
-There’s nothing to really do with that, unless that was a secretly famous actor that I don’t recognize. This applies to the Vulcan Executioner as well.
I went for it, for an Adam Scott avatar. Took 9 packs, I received a 4/5 Ru’afo (yes, 4 copies), Fourth star on Interfaced Barclay, and new 1/5s of Vulcan Executioner, Dahar Master Koloth and Defensive Phlox along the way. I can’t say I’m upset with the haul, but my budgets gone for the next event. C’est la vie.
You got 8 legends in 9 packs?? The odds of that happening must be insane.

"Joe in HR picked Traveller Wesley Crusher. We don't really get it, but he never asks for much so we gave him this one."

9 legends in 9 packs, not 8. I was shocked to all heck, and probably not allowed to ever again complain about the RNG. One pack had Ru’afo drop at the start and 2 begolds. The 4/5 Ru’afo was the last thing I needed for crew space, but who in their right minds airlocks that?
Still quite a few (~200) below level 100, but after I finish freezing purples (27 to go, 3 that need stars) I hope to start actually making a showing in events soon.

I look forward to seeing you atop the leaderboard! Except when I’m making a run of course

Got stars 3, 4 and 5 for Frasier Crane instead.

Excuse me, but he has TWO lines. The first being that weapons are down and shields are gone. The next being that the Enterprise has arrived.

😶 I... stand corrected.

Thank you! I got to 500 unique immortals last week (507 now) and I am missing only 44 cards (0/5) after today.
Wow! Your crew could totally kick my crews **tsk tsk**$
