    Kosst Amojan Dukat.

    *mic drop*

    EH?

Technically he is correct. That is a different Dukat. The Pah-Wraith cult worship the Pah-Wraiths. Kosst Amojan Dukat he was actually possessed by a Pah-Wraith called the Kosst Amojan (the outcast). In one he's a priest, in the other he is a god.

I posted about Amanda Rogers before, a little tweaking and she would be the perfect carrot to dangle in front of everyone with SCI/MED/ENG:

  • Regarding strategy, I tend to start about 12 hours after my gauntlet ends. I find that more casual players are in my gauntlet when I do so (your mileage may vary depending on time zones, etc). I use the Google Sheet (Crew 100) that Peachtree Rex put together to start my crew selection. While I do factor 45/65 percent crit into crew selection, I tend to dismiss 25 percent crit crew as, in my experience, they are far less reliable. I do favor the featured skill but ensure that I have balance across all skills and featured skill combinations. If applicable I do try to work in some of the less populated combos (ie ENG/*).

From there, I don't focus on rank. I find it takes care of itself. Instead, I focus on streaks and opening as many boxes a possible. I really don't care about my standing until the final refresh or two. I just pick off the easiest/low trophy opponent I can. If my next win is a box, I just pick the closest opponent to a "sure thing." A streak of 80 or 90 isn't uncommon. I try to midgate my risks.

I have one Guinan from the top tier boxes but the other six came from lower streak boxes. As such, my goal is to just open as many boxes as possible, which means playing as many individual rounds as possible. To date, I have played over 8800 gauntlet rounds. It's really just a blunt force approach. I figure if I open 10000 boxes and you open 3000 boxes, I have a significantly higher chance of getting Guinan than you. Does that make sense?

A lot of RNG here. I use a good amount of merits to refresh to more favorable matches (particularly when the next win is a box). And, I collect Gauntlet crew. I find that only having to have a crew member at 1/5 players to compete is better to my style.

Far from the only strategy, but just the one I've found success with.

What seems to be missing from this is how much dilithium are you using. So how often per gauntlet (2 days) do you
1-use dilithium to keep streaks going
2-use dilithium to refresh completely exhausted set of crew.

I’ve used dilithium on crew refreshes once. At the introduction of achievements, I was sitting in second or third place and used one or two refreshes to earn my “win a gauntlet achievement,” which resulted in a forgettable portal pull and a bug that drives me nuts literally every day I log into play.

Otherwise, I do not use dilithium for crew refreshes or to maintain streaks.

Edit: There many have been one other time I’ve used dilithium at the beginning of the gauntlet but don’t remember. Regardless, I can’t recall another time I’ve done so. I don’t begrudge those that do. I just haven’t found it necessary and I tend to just save my dilithium for event packs to FF 3/4 character rewards.

  • This crap is what is wrong with STT and DB RNG. I'm at 3,350 completed gauntlet rounds. 1st place finish 3 times. Top 10 and top 20 finish dozens of times. Over 21 streaks dozens and dozens of times.
ZERO Locutus, ZERO Guinan. Like this dude is saying, he has 7 Guinans, and probably has a FF Locutus as well. Where others that have similar success in gauntlet have NOTHING. Its bordering on statistically impossible for this to occur without secret DB percentages that are different for different people.

I am in the same position, played gauntlet since it came out, never ranked first but 2nd a few times, never got Locutus or Guinan... pesky RNG

Ha...sound like me 2 months ago! No locutus, 2/5 guinan then bam! The Rejoin the collective drops locutus in my first pull and i get the other 3 guinans i need within yhe span of a week...in time...all crew drop...it just takes time and patience.

I got my Guinan on a 2nd or 3rd Gauntlet Box - totally unexpected and very welcome! Since then I have had a couple of nice surprises from the Gauntlet, but nothing as nice as that Guinan drop...
I've done over 2700 rounds on the Gauntlet, spent dilithium rarely (except for one mad run to get in the top 5, 10 minutes before the end - I think I received a 10x Premium Pull which in itself gave me another Legendary crew).
    RNG at its best!
Back on topic - I wouldn't mind having Amanda Rogers join my crew at all!

That just seem like a lot of gauntlet rounds to come by naturally. I'm at 4,100 rounds. Admittedly I have grown bored with the gauntlet and prefer Voyages but I still do just enough matches to finish in the top 5 in every gauntlet. (Lately I have been intentionally dropping to 11-15 to get more rewards). I think 40 was my longest natural streak and other than the first week of launch I have not used dilithium either. Extended Voyages is much much better my of dilithium.

I have 2/5 Guinan's and 2/5 Locutus so I'm not really on the hunt for either but more info is always great. Thanks.
  • RNG! I love it!

Just picked up my second Guinan on Gauntlet!

Third round of playing, just hit the first winning streak of three and who pops up?

Guinan has just joined my crew! (Again)

    2/5 stars now...

Where do I find the stats on how many rounds I've played? I'm on iPad.

Thanks. I've been at it for months, I have one Guinan but apparently I've only completed 653 rounds...how pitiful

Not bad, really. I have almost 10 times as many rounds with three Guinans. One of my fleet members is working on FF copy #2.
  • I'm at 6000 gauntlet rounds, always aim for the win streaks and then typically finish in the top 2 every gauntlet. I've got about 90% of the top 25 gauntlet crew at least FE.
    Still no Guinan for me.
    RNGesus ain't on my side.

I know the feeling, I’m at 6350 rounds with several wins as well and no guinan.

  • Wow...I didn’t realize how fortunate I was. I do now.
I guess I should have come here sooner.
Maybe I should look into a fleet?

Yeah, the way the game is now, you're really doing yourself a disservice by not joining a fleet depending on how you play the game.

Thanks for the advice. I need to look into it.
