I'd like variation, like some smaller mini-events (maybe once a week?) that maybe only have threshold and community rewards and no new crew, lasting 1-2 days? Then a bigger event more rarely, that could last 3-7 days depending on how well-developed it is. I don't want to do the same thing over and over for 7 days, like run shuttles. (Actually I don't like pure faction events for 4 days either.)
I would not be opposed to shortening an event from time to time, especially the more grinding type events. but events are probably DB's biggest money maker, so they would have to find some way to offset that.
Not all changes could be beneficial to the player base.
I say leave it Thursday-Monday. Until I got my smartphone, I lost at least every Sunday. But had the first two days and that last morning to at least try.
End of my monthly data cost me holding my position in the top 1500 the last two weeks to get the Legendary.
But having 3/4 of the days gives people a chance.

Removing Monday would be great, so we don't feel pressure to play Sunday night and get a good nights rest for return to work without worrying about dropping ranks while commuting/working.
I'd be very reluctant to have a longer event experiment, because most of us are more busy during the week. Also terrible for family life.
I would like a mix of current events (96 hours across 5 days), weekend events, and even 1-3 day mid-week events.
They could have different reward structures, like a community challenge type of event during the week (“off days”), with a few personal threshold rewards and a couple community rewards.
