Honestly the last thing I REALLY need is more 1/5s clogging up my roster, but I get excited when one of them turns out to be a gauntlet monster like Mr. Seven.

When I got him I replaced Armus in my gauntlet crew with him for about three or four gauntlets. I switched back to Armus.

I use them both. Although Armus doesn't always make the cut, G7 does 99.9% of the time. But it's not really a matter of one replacing the other. Gary is more for SEC than for SCI, after all.

For instance, my current Gauntlet, Seven of Nine gets a trait bonus (and ENG is the featured skill), so I put her in instead of Armus. But Armus usually goes in... and I use him for my CMD, as well, not bothering with a CMD primary crew unless it's featured and/or Gun Show JL gets a massive trait bonus or something.

Edit: I'll add one more thing I love about G7: very few players have him, so he will often hit that sweet spot where the skill combo isn't as good for the potential opponents. Whereas you're starting to see walls of Armii ('armies of Armii', if you will), just like the walls of Guinans, Caretakers, etc., which usually forces you into an "even odds" type of matchup.

I want to say the reason I ditched him was because of Locutus. With him and Armus I have Gary’s skill combos pretty well set. Although I just completed a collection which put one of his skills over 800. That’s pretty enticing

I find myself going the other way more often than not, where Armus is the one left in the cold and Mr. Seven takes over. And Armus is a little underwhelming for voyages, too...since immortalizing one Armus and FEing another at 3/5*, I find myself freezing the immortal one and just using Gary Seven more often so I have a free crew slot.
  • I bit, and I am quite happy I did. 2 begolds, netting me Stranded Quark and DM Koloth.
  • I chomped on this one this week. I got 3 level up begolds, and my last missing gold Jadzia. The rest got me around 10K in honor, so pretty good return on investment.

Now I need another dil offer to try and get the new Lefler!
I want to become a Dilionaire...
  • I bought it, and was treated to a beatdown by the RNG gods. I have quite a bit of purples immortalized, but there's still at least 140 that I need to either acquire or fuse up. Out of the 15 pulls:

8 purple drops - all dupes!
5 purple beholds - all froze / dupes!
2 gold beholds - +1 to Mirror Spock, +1 to "Dark Ages" McCoy

Most schematics became replicator fodder; only bumped up my Assimilated Voyager by 1 level.

But, at least as a consolation, I did manage about +9000 Honor.

It is a good deal, considering that a 10 pack pull is 650 dilithium; the monthly is $4 for 3000 dil, which averages to about $0.87 for a 10 pull. 15 of these would cost about $13.00 (15 x 0.87), so getting 15 for $10 is actually cheaper than the monthly cost.

A few months ago I grabbed this offer before, and the RNG gods were much more generous.

Hey, it's like Vegas - you put down your money and you take your chances!

I was quite lucky. FFed Cornwell, chose the Mobile Doc over adding a second star to Aviator Yar or Empress Giorgiou to kick off Cheesecake Seven as I got myself 4 copies of Indulgent Seven from the reduced packs last week and took a first star for Falcon O'Brien instead of adding one to Mademoiselle de Neuf. I had plenty of space after the Skirmish where I immortalized 9 rares along with some useful Astrophysics of all kinds.

I also got 6 useful purples and levelled up one 5* ship . Overall I was very pleased.

Btw it was the second time I had two legendaries in a portal pull, so this was cool by itself.
