In fairness, Osiris saying to "throw the developers a few dollars and get your additional shuttles" was uncalled for. No player should be telling another player how to spend their money.
But after that things got out of control.
The 3rd and 4th shuttle have never been on sale and likely never will be. F2P players have saved enough to get the shuttles. It's the biggest improvement they can make to their gameplay.
Exanimus, I assume you're a newer player. Hopefully you can save up enough DIL to buy those shuttles soon. Until then, save all the DIL earned from other parts of the game. Those shuttles will help you more than any other purchase you might make, and it's worth skipping all other purchases to get the shuttles as soon as you can.
Thanks for the pay shame, but not all of us are bottemless pits of cash. It's the shame the ones that are, feel to need to shame and humiliate others. I'll put an extra slash on my arm, just for you.
No need to troll, unless your only goal is to complain, inflame, and prove your entire absence of long term game strategy. You don’t need to spend a single dollar on the game to get the dilithium to spend on shuttle slots - it takes time, patience, and effort, a challenge that some people actually enjoy.
What the hell is wrong with asking for there to be a shuttle sale as well so I can buy it with what I have now while there is a dilithium sale on everything else? I thank them for the sale and ask for it to include a shuttle and now I have two trolls shaming me for not spending enough money or use a discount. Have either of you bought crew slots during a sale? Or do you pillars of the high moral ground get full enjoyment by never using a sale?
I have a puddle of red, how much more before I can spend it on dilithium?
You, sir or madam, have a serious problem. If pointing out that there is plenty of dilithium available from in-game activities that don’t require purchases is “pay shaming,” then how can anyone have an honest discussion about the in-game economy with you, ever? This persecution complex doesn’t help anyone, most of all yourself.
For what it’s worth, I don’t actually remember the last time I bought crew slots. I only ever bought two tiers, the first one costs credits instead of dil, and I highly doubt I bought the second tier during a sale. Buying a lot of extra crew slots is a rather spendy proposition, however, in the face of strategies successfully employed by a veritable army of VIP0/F2P players who are aggressive with airlocking and smart with the limited resources available to them.

I'm sorry you interpreted my comment as 'pay shame', it most certainly wasn't intended as such, and as others have pointed out (thank you), I am certainly not a troll. I have my issues with some aspects of the game too, they're all public on this forum.
Let me try to put my initial comment in another way... I have paid for other mobile games that I get enjoyment from, Minecraft for example cost me around £5.99 - a one off investment for oodles of pleasure. STT is free to download and free to play if one chooses but I don't work for free and I know the developers have bills to pay. So five years ago, I decided to spend a similar amount to that which I'd spent on Minecraft - I bought some dilithium and got me some shuttles.
But that is not my point. I have spent varying amounts since on dilithium, citations and campaigns, but NOTHING comes close to the usefulness of the extra shuttles. I use the shuttles EVERY day (two rounds and dailies are done) whereas some of the cards I've citated are in the freezer. That is all I meant. As others have pointed out - you can get these for 'free' now if you put in a bit of time. They are the best value thing you can buy in this game.
I had 7300 dilithium, so I picked up 20 more slots. I'm going to 2x adwarp one of the missions in Episode 10 and I'll be able to get 5 more slots.
I just picked up 2x of that legendary Quinn with the adwarp, bought Stargazer Picard to complete the Common collection, and that Uncommon Doctor in the Honor Hall, now that I finally had the space. Plus, I was sitting on 6 Premium Pulls from the events. Picked up a few more characters and a 4th star on Sarek. Good day. These new slots should last me for about a week until they're full again, haha.
Well, it took me about 3 weeks to fill up the crew slots again. Now back to the grind of deciding who to airlock.

I hear you. Had to airlock my 1/4 Caveman Riker today.
Well, all I will add {politely and diplomatically I hope} is that even for a VIP0/FTP player, the first "investment" of accumulated FREE Dilithium should be Third & Fourth Shuttles. They more than pay for themselves helping you advance in other areas. Higher Ranking in Faction Events, for better Crew & Supplies. Between Faction Events they should be running constantly for whichever Faction is able to drop gear you need for Crew.
Not saying spend a penny. Just suggesting that anyone who is unable to invest money in the game should save every drop of free Dilithium until that Fourth Shuttle is unlocked.

I only bought an extra 5 last time, bringing me up to 295 slots. Even continuing to rotate Event crew in/out of the freezer, I still filled it back up in about a week and a half. Generally no airlocks here anymore unless duplicates, and I have quite a few [useless] gold crew on ice now.
