Thank you thank you so much for the changes to ship battles!
I absolutely love the changes made to the ship battles. Skipping the animations, the speed-ups, even setting them to auto. Makes going through the daily arena battles so much quicker. I can’t wait until the next skirmish because it’s going to be a dream. I only wish you could select an option to permanently skip the intro and outro animations instead of manually doing it every time, but that’s not a big deal.

I’m betting 1500 people agree with you after the next skirmish.
You might be right the 1500 who always had the time to put into being in the top 1500. Who have been replaced by those who can get there now using the new speed up. I am planning on being in the top 1500 in a skirmish for once.
Not sure I get that logic. If everyone is using the speed-up, the same people will still be in the top 1500. It'll just mean higher VP amounts. And the fact that everyone can clear the threshold rewards faster.
Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.

This is exactly what everyone is getting wrong. It won’t save anyone (going for rank) time. It’ll just cost a lot more chrons to rank.
It will make the chron cost in net loss similar to galaxy events like 6-8k for top1500(maybe 10k for a conservative estimate), but so much less tapping which is a godsend. It will be so much easier to burn 50k chrons with the new system and honor farm. I'm very excited about it.
My main gripe with Skirmish was waiting for the animations. Less Tapping is nice too. I'm sure people with hand and wrist injuries will love it. Anxious to try it out in an actual Skirmish. Seems like a very positive direction. Thanx TP for listening.
Still, huge improvement for dailies and skirmish thresholds.
You should stream it.
So maybe it will take the same amount of time investment and way more chrons in the end, but maybe not. Maybe it will take more chrons and less time.
“ Why a mini event?
We have multiple goals in mind:
- propose a potentially reoccurring mid-week activity that is familiar yet has a few twists
- provide a new way to get specific rewards
- test out balance changes without impacting our regular events
- gather specific feedback” [emphasis added]
