Kind of lost for words......that as we are discussing this, it is happening again and again to other fleets!
DB / TP , Shan ? Is there any opinion from the game's company / developers?
Do the higher ups condone this type of aggressive behavior and breaking of fleets, communities and friends no less, and creating division within the whole community? Are these things that TP are aware of, and understand are results when they sanction a new Admiral in a fleet taken over by DDM?
I would suggest, if the answer is no, maybe this thread should be highlighted and made known to those that should know.
The leadership of DDM should be banned from the game.
TP's customer service needs to change their process for handing over the admiralship of fleets based on a submitted request, especially in light of the blatant strategy of thievery DDM has been employing.
Their actions run contrary to the spirit of the game and should not be allowed going forward.
I have to reluctantly agree. There is a rationale here, which isn’t terrible, that is “we don’t want to leave anyone behind if your fleet admiral isn’t playing.” The DDM method isn’t an appropriate solution, as it seems like it isn’t done with active consent and they are targeting fleets with strong starbases (and established ways of doing things) for their own benefit (however meager).
What I find most appalling is how they are trying to pass themselves off as saviours who are doing fleets a favour, by stepping in to fill an alleged leadership void
If fleet members are unhappy with their fleet’s leadership, they can either leave the fleet or request a leadership transfer themselves.
Fleets don’t need to be ‘rescued’ by DDM. The game doesn’t need players like them.
I don't know why anyone would "need" someone to come in for leadership help. This ins't a game where fleet 'strengh' is based on some cumulative of the fleets stats. So the entire premise is just flawed and a lie to try and seem like they are just trying to help others.
DDM truly is 'The Borg of STT':

OK this thread is starting to derail and is getting close to being closed.
I understand the concerns this situation has created for a lot of you.
And this has been brought up to various parties, so we can work towards a solution.
At this time said solution will involve a better process on our Support Team's side.
And we will work from there and see what else we can do.

I think everyone has had their say and mostly civil as well in this thread.
I am glad the fleet was given back, and I am HOPEFUL that TP will take care of this type of situation soon so it does not happen again. A lot of time, effort and patience goes into building a Starbase for fleets. There is value there, and the game is geared towards fleets anyway. So they should be protected. I think that is the main concern.

She probably won't have that info for a few days or weeks. I hope you'll check my link above to give them suggestions.
Why not poach the members? We don't have many vacancies across the rest of the Alliance.
Don't have many vacancies?
DDM 1-4,6,8,11and 12 are at 49 members
DDM 9 is at 48 members
DDM 14,15,16,17,18 are at 1 member
DDM 15 is at 22 members
DDM 20 is at 32 members
cmon man, at least *TRY* to tell the truth.
That seems like an *lot* of vacancies to me.

Listen, this fleet stealing is absolutely awful and needs to stop.
That said, casual fleets with inactive admirals and officers is an issue, and I don't want to see the end of the CS policy to put an active player in the fleet in the big chair. I'm saying this because it happened to me.
Did y'all know I'm the admiral of two fleets? I am! No, not eXo and eXo Lite (eXo with half the calories but all of the great taste). They are eXo and a random fleet I had some alts parked in where everyone else eventually disappeared like it was the Mary Celeste.
As a lot of people know, I run like 893 separate STT accounts. Conservatively. I may have missed one or two. Anyway, I only play 2 seriously, and I needed to park the other 789 somewhere. I found a fleet that was open, had a decent starbase, and enough room to put all of my accounts. After a month or two, we had a room available to upgrade in the ol' starbase... and no officers to upgrade it. So, I wrote into CS about it and they made me Admiral. I didn't ask anyone (really because the other accounts left were basically variants of me) and CS didn't ask anyone either.
I'm not really sure what the answer is to ghost fleets. There are quite a few sitting out there with inactive admirals and officers and halfway built starbases. It's crappy to be contributing to something and then all of a sudden have the fleet go dead around you. That said, it's also something that is obviously easily exploitable by DDM, and that has to stop too. Maybe there's a happy medium where a tenure length can be employed or some other means.
And if anyone wants to join the Order of the Black Rose, we've got 40 open spaces and a level 47 starbase And... yes, I did find it to begin with because I was looking for fleets named after me.

Exactly, and thank you for creating that thread btw!
on a less inflammatory note could devs consider introducing a vice adm rank. that way command could pass to a fleet approved member if the adm goes inactive?
basically CS let it happen with their bad buisness policy regarding inactive admirals
This is terrible. It really annoyed and confused me at the time but I moved on. Do CS understand the stress they are causing their customers. Stress might seem exaggerated but at the time the world was changing in uncertain ways and then this troll took over a fleet where I had friendships, changed its name, threatened us with expulsion of we didn't change our tags and generally had an unpleasant discourse with me. The fleet was Ingress: Enlightened, and we all played another game, had a good community. Like I say, I had moved on but to hear this was sanctioned by CS has brought back the anger.
This seems to confirm that the DDM takeover strategy is heavy handed and not at all like the "we're stepping in to help struggling fleets" defense we were getting earlier.
First off we do not poach second off some of your stats are bad as DDM 16, 17 18 and 20 are fakes
If you join a fleet with active members (even if the admiral is not one of them) and contact CS requesting to be installed as the admiral, even when the long-time active fleet members have felt no need to take such action, then institute your own set of rules that override how the fleet had been operated, what would you call it?
I hope support takes care of this situation and doesn’t allow to happen it again. We all put a lot of effort and money on this game and deserve a better support
And first off we adopted a dead fleet... Admiral was inactive and we did not boot any officers, that's a lie, majority of what I'm reading is based off what you are told admiral came back I turned back over even though technically I did not have to... Nothing that from what I'm seeing is people in a very fleet making a comment that it's wrong but don't realize they are sitting in a fleet that was not DD SST or CFOH... No bust but I never kicked officers or removed active players... Was there to help and this got twisted real quick. Don't care what you guys think as that was not the intention so to bash a fleet over something that alot of fleets have done is dumb and alot of people whom say they know me is cause we had removed them for inactivity or trolling UC... Not cause of anything else... Of course you will be the target as the Admiral over the fleets... But just like we have adopted a few dead fleets we have also adopted admirals with the entire fleet because we offer a support system that is like no other. We have admirals that took the name because what we offer... And hate because of those out there trying to recruit and we are very good at what we do. Sure there is going to be hate and I won't subject myself to reading all of this even if I think it's funny you see one side to the story even though the intentions were pure and when Admiral came back he got his fleet back

Most of this rambling makes no sense but what really stuck out, and I would like to ask, is how many, like exact number, are " a few dead Fleets"?
Furthermore you accuse a lot of Fleets of doing the same as you, which Fleets exactly? I don't know of any Fleet or Alliance that has done this as repeatedly as apparently DDM has with their high number of Fleets. Throwing out baseless accusations like that appears to be a pathetic attempt to justify what you're doing.
As for giving back the Valahalla's Crusaders, I'm sure the community backlash on the several Forum threads had nothing to do with that.
