Well...there are 46 in total as per the Smoke & Mirrors collection, but if you don’t count 3* Smiley, might-as-well-be-a-3* Mirror Sisko, proficiency-heavy Mirror Geordi, and power-creeped Mirror Ezri, then yes it would be 42.
EDIT: This is wrong; don't follow this advice. See other comments below.
ORIGINAL: All the Burnhams should be event crew as well, since she'll be the recurring Mega card.
And, should you have a good Mirror bench, don't mindlessly unfreeze crew. There are a couple of Mirror cards that are really bad; I'm thinking Mirror Empress Sato, Mirror Archer, and Mirror Garak. They might not be worth the merits. I always have to remind myself of this.

No, variants of the recurring Mega card don't automatically get a bonus (for example, Janeways didn't give a bonus when Determined Janeway was the recurring). In actuality, it's almost the opposite - as a Bumham is the recurring, we're not likely to have any more Bumhams introduced during the mega, meaning Bumham variants almost certainly won't get a bonus simply for being a Bumham variant.

I think it would be cool though if TP had the mega recurring legendary’s variants be bonus for the first event of the mega. So have all Burnhams be bonus week one but not the other weeks.

I had forgotten that detail, myself. A refresher is always good. I forget almost every Skirmish that Voyages and Shuttles don't tie up Crew........

I bit and used some of my (small) dil stash on the 390 pack to try and get Mirror Janeway ... and won Mirror Archer instead Oh well! Good thing I like Scott Bakula I suppose.
Hopefully he will come in handy in my young roster despite @EnderW your advice upthread that he might not be worth the merits for some, I only have 5 active Mirror cards (Smiley O'Brien is frozen) and none of them have really been worked on enough to be powerhouses (BTW any advice on who to level up would be greatly appreciated!)
I started playing this game regularly around when this Georgiou was in the first campaign and she made an immediate impact early in my game. At 4/4 FF/FE, she was one of my best crew, especially in the early game and still competes well with the legendaries I've since immortalized.

@Steph loves Voyager If they were at 4/4 or 3/4 I'd also start with Georgiou and/or Jadzia, because they both have a good SEC base. But since they're at 1/4, if you have the chrons to level a legendary, I would go for Lorca first. He will have the highest primary base of all of them, as they are now. Then I'd move on to Jadzia and Georgiou. The Tholian has a slightly worse base and he's SCI primary, so less likely to be needed on a lot of shuttles in the next faction event. And I'm not sure if Archer at 1/4 will make any shuttles, but it depends on who else you have in your crew. An immortal 3/3* bonus crew, if there is one, would probably be just as good.

I don't usually commit to leveling SR crew till I have them 3/4, just in case I need the space. Phil is useful in the arena, probably see the most use. I can't imagine I would airlock her for space. I saw some good use from Dax, awesome sec base and most likely to continue to give you small bonus. Lorca might do well in the short term, but that depends heavily on what you already have for com/dip. His use will go down quickly. Depending on what you have for gauntlet Lorca and Archer may be occasionally be useful but not often. I got a fair amount of use from Tholian on voyages until I got some good BeGolds in the honour sale.
Lorca, if com/dip is a hole in your roster.
Phil, even as a 1/4 will serve you if you have a good atk boost already.
But I wouldn't commit to the others unless you like them so much you can't imagine dropping them for space.

Anyone but Archer. Dax has the top SEC score of that crew and gets events somewhat often. Georgiou is a personal favorite. I've got at least half a dozen of her. She'll serve you well. Lorca is another favorite, but for fan reasons. That card has good bases, though. Tholian Prisoner has SCI, which isn't common for mirror crew, so he could help fill a hole. His future potential isn't as good as the others, though.
Georgiou is great. She was my first immortal 4* and she just now dropped out of my top ten for SEC...I immortalized Mirror Jadzia.
I had Mirror Janeway immortal, so I resisted the temptation of that pack for more stars on Archer and Kirk. I bought four of the other: final star for Jadzia, got 2*s on Mirror Chekov that I needed, and got Mirror Cochrane, also new.

Others have given advice on the usefulness of the crew ... I'd just like to add a bit extra on levelling crew ...
I would like to direct you to the STT wiki ... stt.wiki ... each character has a page and on the right-hand side there's a link ... Crew cost info ... that leads to an external site. That site gives you a breakdown of how hard/easy a crew is to level (cost, items, chronitons etc.).
e.g. you can see that Jadzia needs a 4* Whiskey at lvl 73 ... this can be quite rough to craft for a beginning player (3* Alcohol) ... which in turn means that she might be stuck at 80 for a bit while you farm items ... and then from 90-100 the items are again difficult for a newer player.
Lorca, on the other hand, is fairly smooth sailing up until lvl 90-100 ... but that means you can level him to 100 and slowly start equipping his last 4 items ... without the lvl 96 item (5* Zero Gravity Training) which only boosts ship stats! ... so you will quickly be able to use him to his best potential, where Jadzia might take more time (even though she's a 4* card, so should be easier).
Georgiou is most difficult to level of all, Archer easiest and Tholian in the middle.
I would highly recommend you check out the above resources a bit and if you need further explanation into what it all means then ask away in the Ready Room.
I'd personally go ... Lorca, Jadzia, Tholian, Georgiou, Archer.
Burnham is going to be a solid Voyager, and probably a superstar for new rosters. She comes it at #43 Voyager, with a #8 base pair for CMD/SEC and is just edged out by Assimilated Hawk for the top SEC/CMD/SCI Voyager slot.
Also, Booker looks damn good in that Disco uniform.

She'll be great for new rosters. For more advanced rosters she probably falls into that awkward middle ground where she'd be used, but is not likely a huge improvement over other crew you may have. I'll probably cite her because it's just one cite. But I expect her impact will be from future Burnham events more than Voyages.

I think Burnham will be quite helpful to most people including myself. Almost all of my command-security people are the ones we got as mega event recurring legendaries and this Burnham will be much better than T’kuvma, Kortar, Garth of Izar, Kol of House Kor, and Thrax for voyages.

Sounds right to me. I'm more interested to see if his ship ability activates before Stamets' 16s or Booker's 14s. A low bar, to be sure.
Must have high security for his super sneeze.
