I bit and used some of my (small) dil stash on the 390 pack to try and get Mirror Janeway <3 ... and won Mirror Archer instead :( Oh well! Good thing I like Scott Bakula I suppose.

Hopefully he will come in handy in my young roster despite @EnderW your advice upthread that he might not be worth the merits for some, I only have 5 active Mirror cards (Smiley O'Brien is frozen) and none of them have really been worked on enough to be powerhouses (BTW any advice on who to level up would be greatly appreciated!)

  • Thank you everyone who made suggestions/gave advice on my Mirror crew! :) Looks like Lorca, Georgiou and Dax are the popular choices and my 390 pull was a lemon :s I'm wondering if I leave them as they are for the event and save my chrons for the actual event crew, I see Linus has quite a few S31 faction items and purple components in his build so he could take some time to complete...

Since this event is Galaxy/Skirmish, event crew are your best focus. Save those chronitons.
I do a lot of crew building during Skirmish events. You won't need to worry about trait match until noon Saturday of the next event when you need to fill shuttle missions. I haven't thawed any Mirror crew yet, just the Stamets for this event.
I'm working on a couple FF Mirror crew to fulfill my daily tasks. I finished the Mirror version of Janeway, Jadzia, and Vic over these last few days. I only have Burnham left FF, but not immortal. I also added the last bit of equipment to my Mirror Geordi 3/4* and will likely finish equipping Mirror Trip 3/4* that just needs one more item.
I'm also keeping a Voyage out for chrons, components, and hopefully stars/new crew.

EDIT: I forgot about Burnham, so Linus isn't really a great candidate

I agree with Carlisle on the crew to level for this event (just Linus). If you don't have tons of chrons to burn, I'd also suggest skipping the galaxy part (except for completing the two or three item recipes that will allow you to claim the community rewards - you need to take part in the galaxy half to claim those rewards, but the extent to which you participate can be minimal) and then go all out in the skirmish half. For the skirmish you only need one full bonus crew (Linus) and you'll get something back for your chrons, while not losing components on builds.
If you have the time during the second part of the event and a decent ship to use, the skirmish should be the best use of your resources.

Linus will give full skirmish boosts as an FF without leveling. Unless Disco crew are bonus in week two he's less useful. Wouldn't Burns be the most efficient use during the event to level since she is most likely to be useful in the galaxy/faction next week? Unless Linus is bonus going forward he doesn't seem like a priority to level unless it's to freeze, and can be leveled as spare resources exist?

Agreed ... don't waste your chronitons on Linus. He's only useful levelled for Thurs. to Sat. and that comes at too high a cost ... he can do the skirmish as a lvl 1 just as good ... or (hint) use the new Burnham instead.

My advice assumed that you would start to level the crew prior to the first event. Some pointers to make your process as efficient as possible:

    - Level Lorca at least to 100 prior to the start of today's event.

    - Do just enough in the Galaxy phase until the phase change on Sat. to pick up a copy of Burnham. i.e. If you get her Friday, stop ... save all your remaining Chronitons for phase 2.

    - Focus all your effort to levelling Burnham during the skirmish phase, who you will seat on one of your ships. Forget about Dax and Georgiou for the time being, seeing as they are also SEC base crew and if you manage to FE Burnham move on to Tholian.
! Remember to use a supply kit during skirmish farming !

    - After the event is done on Monday spend the week levelling Jadzia and Georgiou ... and Tholian (first) if you didn't finish that guy.
    - Inbetween events run appropriate shuttles (Section 31, Terran, Federation) to stock up on items mirror/Disco crew might need.

    - Keep Linus at lvl 1 until week 4 of the mega ... then use the skirmish to level and immortalise (if you manage to get him 4/4) him to freeze and create crew space.

You have a lot of good advice here, so I won't step on anyone's toes. For myself, I'm low on chrons currently because of leveling up a lot of crew. I'm planning on using enough chrons to get Linus in the first half of the event and then stop. When phase two starts, I'll put him in a crew position just long enough to reach Burnham (should only take a few skirmishes). Then I'll switch out Linus for Burnham. I'm not planning on leveling up Linus right now, just fusing him. I'll level up Burnham who will be useful for the rest of the mega.

Hope this strategy is useful. In either case, have fun!

That's right, I forgot about Burnham  Burnham should definitely be the first one to get leveled.
As for Linus, he gives full bonus at lv1, so I would use him unleveled until Burnham is available. If necessary and not too expensive I would still level him up a bit, so that he gets some ship bonuses too (especially for a newer player who may not have the strongest arena crew and ships). But I agree that he doesn't need to be FE.

Just to flop it out there for my fellow players who are sandbagging until the Skirmish phase starts: I built one complete recipe to qualify for community rewards, then will use the community drop of Linus to staff my ship in the early part of phase 2. There’s no need to push to get Burnham in the first phase, and if you don’t intend on keeping Linus for future Disco events you can send him packing once you get Burnham from skirmishing.

@DScottHewitt My Linus is to 70. (I had a bunch of stuff stockpiled and have only had to spend maybe 300 chronitons on him so far.)
The big faction item for him is 2* Science Experiments. He needs one for each uniform after a certain point.

@DScottHewitt He also needed a couple basic holoprograms for a purple Diplomatic Protocol, which is Section 31 or replicate.
@Legate Damar There is another item later on that also refers to her as Homecoming Burnham.

You need a couple 2* Tactical Alerts, but those are in today's Cadet Challenges.

Looks like the community rewards will be completed unusually early. I'd have thought more people would be sandbagging the first phase.

Anyone know what thresh rank was?
  • between 7400 and 7468. Someone in my squad passed threshold just before the end. He had 7468.
