I made the communication, it didn't occur to me that there would be this much doubt about how many copies would be obtainable via achievements. It is not possible to grant part of a crew.

I apologize for opening this can of worms - while I realized that it would be tricky to grant 1 copy with 3 temporary achievements, I was only trying to make sure it was clear...

Apparently, it was clear to everyone but me!
I don't think Shan was referring to your question, because there's nothing wrong with asking a question. Rather, I think she is (understandably) starting to tire of the constant negativity and attacks on every single announcement that TP makes.

There is no need for you to apologize
Asking questions/clarification is fine.

Productive? Probably not.

Now that the dust has settled and we have all received a Terry Towel Adira, I have to ask, was it worth it?
When I ask 'was it worth it' I mean for TP. Why didn't they just keep the reward from that event as it was and change this temporary achievement to EDF Adira? They had to change all the stats, traits and pictures not to mention the pitchforks from players that had pursued the Terry Towel Adira. I just don't get it, why go to all that trouble and bad publicity when they could have just kept it as it was and change the temporary achievement - no one would have known any mistake had ever happened - instead we are where we are.

Very strange and troubling.
Seeing as they screwed up on a contract and would've faced some unpleasant repercussions from CBS...yes, I'm pretty sure it was worth it.

I'm not privy to this - care to share?
Ben was asked about it the last time he was on Timelines Talks. CBS specifically required that Towel Adira could not be the first version of Adira released in the game. Somehow that requirement was missed, and someone woke up a few days too late.
It's probably a stronger argument for better quality control than any of the other recent screw ups.

Apparently there were reasons beyond their control.....

According to WRG Ben they were not allowed to have that particular character be the first Adira Tal.

So, that was the big issue that could not be discussed in the Forums, but had to come from an interview on a third party podcast?
See the problem with transparency and communication? It really couldn't have needed to be obscured on the Forums.
"CBS specified that Adira Towel not be the first Adira released. And that condition got missed in planning."
Wasn't the end of the world. But look how much discussion and confusion and downright anger that lack of communication caused. Two clear sentences would have avoided all that. Obviously, face was more important than customer confidence......

Yes and No, IMO. I think the whole thing happened very fast, and I doubt they were expecting the massive backlash they received. I would think that it's probably normal operating procedure to not divulge the details of your contract with your provider to your customers, but I think things eventually developed to the point where it made sense to let the cat out of the bag. I was surprised it wasn't in the write-up that Shan provided tbh.

Along with Stranded Quark, Ishan Chaye Sisko, and Interfaced La Forge, there are some real heavy hitters in this skill combo.

Each temporary achievement will have 1 copy of Adira Tal as reward.
